The mobile-focused feature lets viewers swipe through vertically oriented videos, use Like, Follow, Favorite, and Skip controls, receive recommendations, and discover more creator content through “More of Me.”
The launch marks a shift from Pornhub’s conventional catalog browsing toward a feed-based discovery experience. The feature was reported as live on the website after earlier testing, but the reviewed sources do not independently establish present-day availability in every country or the full technical rules for organic uploads.
Key takeaways
- Pornhub officially launched Shorties on November 6, 2025, after testing the feature in beta.
- Shorties uses a vertically oriented, swipeable feed with Like, Follow, Favorite, and Skip controls, plus full-screen viewing.
- Smart recommendations and the “More of Me” feature are designed to help viewers discover additional material from creators.
- Shorties In-Stream is a separate advertising format documented by TrafficJunky before the consumer launch; its published specifications include 9:16 video, five-to-30-second length, and placement after every five videos.
- Launch reporting does not establish a universal organic-video length limit, ranking formula, worldwide rollout, engagement increase, or creator-earnings increase.
What is Pornhub Shorties?
Pornhub Shorties is a mobile-oriented discovery feed that presents vertically framed videos one after another, allowing users to swipe through content rather than browse only through a conventional catalog. The interaction pattern is similar to TikTok or Instagram Reels, but the available reporting does not show that Shorties uses identical technical rules or recommendation systems.
Pornhub officially introduced Shorties on November 6, 2025, following a beta period. XBIZ’s launch report describes the product as Pornhub’s response to the growing use of mobile devices for video consumption. An earlier August 2025 report said the feature was still being tested and that Pornhub had not yet announced a firm public launch date, documenting the progression from beta testing to the November release.

How does Shorties work?
Shorties works as a vertically oriented, swipeable stream: a viewer moves from one video to the next through the feed and can open an item in full-screen mode. India Today’s launch coverage reported that the feed included trending videos and the following controls:
| Control or feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Like | Records a positive reaction to an individual video. |
| Follow | Lets a viewer follow a creator or account from the feed. |
| Favorite | Allows a viewer to save an item as a favorite. |
| Skip | Moves past a video without continuing to watch it. |
| Full-screen viewing | Expands the selected video for a more immersive view. |
| Smart recommendations | Personalizes subsequent discovery based on the feed’s recommendation system. |
| “More of Me” | Helps viewers find more material from a creator and, according to launch reporting, may connect with that creator’s wider online presence. |
The available reporting does not provide a complete technical specification for organic Shorties uploads. India Today reported that Pornhub did not impose the same kind of fixed short-video duration restriction associated with TikTok or Reels, but that observation should not be converted into a claim that organic Shorties videos have no limits at all. Pornhub’s exact duration rules, upload requirements, ranking factors, and availability by market were not established in the reviewed sources.
What is “More of Me”?
“More of Me” is Shorties’ creator-discovery layer. The feature is intended to move a viewer beyond one video and toward more content from the same performer or creator. India Today reported that the integration could also link to performers’ fan sites and social-media profiles, while XBIZ described it more generally as a creator-discovery and engagement tool.

That distinction matters because Shorties is not only a playback redesign. The feed combines short-form discovery with follows, favorites, recommendations, and pathways to a creator’s broader online presence. The launch reports do not, however, provide conversion rates, revenue figures, retention data, or evidence that Shorties increased creator earnings.
Why did Pornhub launch a vertical feed?
Pornhub launched Shorties to adapt discovery to mobile viewing behavior. Pornhub said most of its online traffic came from mobile devices; India Today reported a Pornhub figure of 84% of global site traffic from mobile devices in 2020. The same report separately cited Statista’s figure of 97% mobile usage in October 2023. The two figures come from different sources and years and should not be combined into a single current traffic statistic.
The product follows a wider entertainment-platform pattern in which vertically oriented, swipeable feeds make it possible to move quickly through recommended videos. Calling Shorties “TikTok-style” or “similar to Reels” accurately describes the interaction pattern, but does not establish that Pornhub’s feed has the same video-length limits, algorithms, moderation rules, or business model as those services.

Is Shorties available on Pornhub Gay?
Pornhub said a dedicated gay-content feed was available on Pornhub Gay when Shorties launched. Pornhub also said a lesbian-focused feed was in development at launch. Those statements describe the reported launch configuration; the reviewed research does not independently verify present-day availability in every region or on every version of the site.
How is Shorties In-Stream different from ordinary Shorties videos?
Shorties In-Stream is an advertising product, not the same thing as the organic Shorties feed. TrafficJunky, Pornhub’s advertising platform, described Shorties In-Stream as a full-screen vertical video advertisement inserted between feed items and designed to resemble native Shorties content.

What safety and moderation measures did Pornhub report?
Pornhub told India Today that Shorties content was covered by its existing safety and moderation processes, including performer verification and mandatory consent forms for co-performers. Those are company-reported safeguards, not independently audited findings in the launch coverage. The available research therefore supports attributing the claims to Pornhub rather than describing them as an external certification of Shorties.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What remains unknown about Shorties?
The November 2025 launch reports establish the feature’s basic operation but not every current product rule. The following points were not confirmed by the reviewed sources:
- The exact minimum or maximum length for organic Shorties videos.
- The ranking signals used by the recommendation system.
- Whether every control is available to logged-out users or in every market.
- The complete geographic rollout and operating-system compatibility.
- Independent engagement, retention, advertising-effectiveness, or creator-earnings results.
- Whether Shorties remains available in a particular country as of August 12, 2026.
The careful conclusion is that Shorties represents a significant interface and discovery change for Pornhub: a swipeable vertical feed with creator-focused engagement tools. The evidence supports describing the launch and its documented features, but not claiming that the feature improved monetization, changed creator income, or operates identically to TikTok or Reels.
