Plankton: The Movie is a 2025 kids and family comedy on Netflix. Its story centers on Plankton and Karen, his sentient computer wife, whose relationship turns into a world-threatening conflict when Karen decides to destroy the world without him.
What is Plankton: The Movie about?
Netflix’s synopsis describes a love story between Plankton and Karen that goes sideways after Karen takes a stand and decides to destroy the world without him. Netflix Media Center offers a shorter framing: Plankton’s plan for world domination is thwarted. Together, those descriptions establish the film’s central setup as a clash between the two characters, rather than a story focused solely on Plankton’s usual schemes.
Netflix’s official title-page synopsis reads: “Plankton’s tangled love story with his sentient computer wife goes sideways when she takes a stand — and decides to destroy the world without him.” Netflix’s title page and its Media Center listing do not provide a full plot breakdown.
Who is in the cast?
Netflix lists these three performers as the stars:
- Mr. Lawrence
- Jill Talley
- Tom Kenny
The title page also names Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Carolyn Lawrence, Lori Alan and Mary Jo Catlett. Netflix does not present a complete creative-credits list on the pages cited here.
