In it, the former My Kitchen Rules judge made a watermelon-and-shiso salad. The report does not establish a new television role or a regular series of cooking videos.
What was in Pete Evans’s cooking video?
PerthNow journalist Jonathon Nolan reported that Evans posted a video demonstrating a watermelon-and-shiso salad. The report quoted Evans introducing it this way: “Spring and summer, for me, is all about celebrating salads! Today, we’re going to do a salad, which you can have on the table in minutes,” and ending: “Wow, it’s delicious! Until next time.” These are the words reproduced in the PerthNow report; the original video was not independently reviewed.
Was this a full return to television or regular cooking content?
No such comeback is established by the reported clip. “Return” was the framing used in coverage of one social-media cooking appearance, not evidence of a new broadcast role or an ongoing video schedule. Evans’s official site currently lists recipes and cookbooks, indicating a continuing food-related public presence, but that alone does not show that he resumed regular cooking videos.
Why was the video framed as a return?
Evans was a judge on My Kitchen Rules. A PerthNow profile published in August 2025 says Seven dropped him from the hosting role in May 2020 and reports that he lost business partnerships after posting a cartoon featuring a Nazi symbol in November 2020. ABC News reported that the Therapeutic Goods Administration fined him A$25,000 in April 2020 over BioCharger advertising claims linked to coronavirus. These dated events provide context for the attention given to a cooking clip; they do not change what the clip itself establishes.

Where can readers find his recipes and cookbooks?
Evans’s official site has a recipe index, and its books page lists cookbooks including Dinner in 5, Eat Your Greens and The Paleo Chef. Those listings make his cookbooks a relevant route for readers seeking more of his food-related work. They do not verify current retailer stock or prices, or establish that any listed book contains the watermelon-and-shiso salad.
