What opened at Westfield Carousel?
Sushi Jiro’s Westfield Carousel venue was reported as the chain’s first Perth restaurant. In its opening report on 15 July 2024, The West Australian described freshly prepared sushi and à la carte dishes delivered by sushi train and sushi robots.
The venue’s opening was also a step in the chain’s national expansion. CEO Anna Kasman told The West Australian: “Opening our first Perth Sushi Jiro Sushi Train has been a long time coming, and we couldn’t be more excited and proud to be on the other side of the country. It is a significant step for us and marks a huge milestone in our national expansion plans.”
How big is the sushi train?
The West Australian reported the train as 114 metres long, with seating for 126 diners. A September 2026 Time Out Perth guide repeats both figures. They are reported dimensions and capacity; the available coverage does not establish an independent measurement or verify that every sushi train in Perth was compared.

Why was Westfield Carousel chosen?
Kasman said the company wanted to establish a presence in Perth and that Westfield Carousel “just made sense” as its first location. She cited the centre’s diverse and large customer base, visibility and accessibility as reasons for the choice, according to The West Australian’s 15 July 2024 report.
What to know before visiting
PerthNow’s opening-period report said the restaurant would operate daily from 11am to 9pm. Those were the announced hours in July 2024, not a current confirmation. Time Out’s September 2026 listing confirms the venue’s inclusion at Westfield Carousel but does not establish current hours, menu availability or prices. Check with the restaurant or shopping centre before making a trip.
