Maylands: Volare’s aperitivo-inspired bar
The roundup described Volare as an aperitivo-inspired bar in the former Swallow Bar space, pairing European flavours with dishes such as chicken liver pâté cannoli and negroni-glazed octopus. Volare’s official contact page currently lists 198 Whatley Crescent, Maylands, along with visitor hours. Because hours can change, check the page before setting out.
CBD: Terrarium’s leafy, two-storey setting
In 2022, Terrarium was presented as a cocktail and spirits bar with a rooftop area and plants throughout. Those are descriptions from the original roundup, not confirmation that the venue is open now. Its current operating status was not established.

Northbridge: Pretty Good Pizza’s takeaway-shop approach
The 2022 article described Pretty Good Pizza as a contemporary take on an old-school Australian takeaway pizza shop. Its current operating status was not established, so the source-era description should not be treated as a present-day recommendation.
West Perth: Kozy’s cross-cultural refined dining

Perth: Tom’s Providore and Wine Bar
PerthNow reported that siblings Lara and Tom Lukich opened the venture near Beaufort and Brisbane streets in July 2022. It described a mix of salads, cheese, meats, Western Australian and international products, wine, juices and coffee. The official site lists 290 Beaufort Street and describes Tom’s as a providore, wine bar and wine/liquor store. Confirm current hours directly rather than relying on indexed listings, which may be dated.

The 2022 roundup introduced The Flaming Galah as Fremantle’s first queer bar. Its official site says the venue has operated since 2022, describes it as dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community, allies and friends, and lists 19B Essex Street and visitor hours. Visit Fremantle calls it Fremantle’s first dedicated LGBTQIA+ venue. For the clearest current visitor information among the venues in the roundup, consult the bar’s own site before visiting.
