Parish is a six-episode AMC crime drama about Gray Parish, a New Orleans luxury-car-service owner whose family tragedy pulls him back into the criminal world he left behind. The first season aired from March 31 to May 5, 2024; AMC said in October 2024 that it would not proceed with a second season.
What is Parish about?
Giancarlo Esposito stars as Gracian “Gray” Parish, a family man who owns a luxury car service in New Orleans. After his son is murdered and his business collapses, Gray encounters an old associate from his days as a wheelman. That connection draws him back into criminal work and the orbit of a violent syndicate. AMC describes the series as a crime thriller based on the UK drama The Driver; that connection establishes the premise’s source, not that the two shows share identical plots or endings. AMC’s series announcement also says the show was filmed on location in New Orleans.
Who is in the cast?
Esposito stars as Gray Parish and is also an executive producer. The principal cast named by AMC includes:
- Zackary Momoh as The Horse
- Paula Malcomson as Rose
- Skeet Ulrich as Colin
- Bonnie Mbuli as Shamiso Tongai
- Ivan Mbakop as Zenzo
- Arica Himmel as Makayla
- Dax Rey as Luke
Bradley Whitford is identified as a recurring performer in AMC’s release materials. AMC’s season materials provide additional cast and program details.
