What Paris Jackson said about her nose
PerthNow reported on November 12, 2025, that Jackson discussed the condition in a TikTok video posted two days earlier. The outlet quoted her saying she had “a really loud whistle” when breathing through her nose and that it was caused by what she called a “perforated septum.” She also reportedly linked the condition to past drug use when asked about its cause.
The report describes Jackson’s statements; it does not independently confirm her diagnosis or current medical status. It also does not establish a clinical prognosis. Although the PerthNow headline calls the injury “permanent,” the article provides no independent medical basis for that description.
Why Jackson said she was not having surgery
According to PerthNow, Jackson said she did not want surgery to repair the perforation because she was almost six years sober and expected to need medication during a procedure she described as “that gnarly.” This is her reported personal reasoning, not a general medical rule about surgery, medication or recovery.

What the report says about her recovery
PerthNow said Jackson has spoken about past heroin and alcohol addiction. The article also quoted her reflecting on sobriety as part of her ability to make music, enjoy time with her pets, laugh, dance, trust and experience ordinary pleasures. The nearly six-year figure reflects what she reportedly said in the video; the report does not independently verify her current sobriety duration.
