Paloma San Basilio’s Gracias farewell tour stopped at Miami’s James L. Knight Center on April 12, 2026. San Basilio later confirmed that the concert took place, describing it as the tour’s only U.S. farewell performance. She had framed the Miami date not as a sad goodbye, but as a celebration of a career—and a city—with special meaning for her.
What happened at the Miami concert?
The performance took place on April 12, 2026, at the James L. Knight Center, 400 SE 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33131. San Basilio’s official post-event account confirmed the concert and called it the Gracias tour’s only U.S. farewell concert. That account reported standing ovations and an enthusiastic audience, but gave no attendance figure; it is the artist’s account, not an independent review. Paloma San Basilio’s official site is the source for the tour information.
Why did Miami matter to San Basilio?
In an interview with Teresa Aranguez published by People en Español on March 31, 2026, San Basilio said Miami had to be part of the farewell tour because of her personal history in the city, including her experience with Evita and time spent living there. She said the show was prepared in Los Angeles with her daughter, Ivana San Basilio, and her team.
San Basilio described the farewell as a celebration rather than a mournful ending: “No es una sensación de pena porque estamos haciendo una fiesta. El adiós es cuando la gente se olvida de ti”. The words appeared in Aranguez’s interview, published by People en Español.

Was the concert at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m.?
The published listings conflict. San Basilio’s announcement on September 17, 2025, gave an 8 p.m. start time. Her later concert listing and the James L. Knight Center event page both showed 7 p.m. Because the event has passed, the discrepancy is best understood as a difference between advance listings—not as a current schedule. The venue listing also gives the address above. Its event page included a no-bag rule with an exception for bags smaller than 10 × 7 × 2 inches, subject to inspection; that event-specific text should not be treated as a standing venue policy.
What songs were advertised?
The advance announcement named “Juntos,” “No llores por mí Argentina,” “Luna de miel,” and “Cariño mío” among the tour’s repertoire highlights. Those were promotional examples, not a confirmed setlist for the Miami performance. The reviewed event information does not establish the full setlist or whether the concert was recorded for sale.

How did the farewell fit her career?
San Basilio’s September 2025 announcement described more than 50 years in music and performance, more than 33 albums, and more than 16 million copies sold. These are figures published by the artist, rather than independently verified totals. Her official biography also names Cómo un Sueño, a live CD/DVD released to mark 20 years in music. It is a separate historic release, not a recording of the 2026 Miami concert; current stock, edition, and seller are not established.
The artist’s concert page offers a downloadable tour booklet or flyer associated with the event. That establishes a digital document, not a physical program for sale. The event page and post-event account do not provide a ticket-sales total, gross, or independent attendance count.
