Paige (Saraya) did not appear in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble. After fans speculated that she might enter at No. 30, she said she wished she could have taken part, but WWE had to make that decision. The available reporting does not establish that she was booked or invited.
What did Paige say about the Royal Rumble rumors?
In a February 7, 2026 interview on Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Saraya addressed the reaction to her absence from the Women’s Royal Rumble. Fightful transcribed her saying: “I wish I was part of it but it’s more to it. WWE has to make that decision. Not me…”
She also recalled that fans had expected a surprise appearance: “A lot of people were mad that I wasn’t in the (Royal) Rumble, and a lot of people thought I was gonna be number 30 too…” Those comments describe fan speculation, not a confirmed WWE plan. Fightful’s report included her remarks and noted that training videos she posted had fueled the speculation.
Was Paige supposed to return at the Royal Rumble?
There is no established evidence in the cited reporting that Paige was supposed to enter the match. Fightful separately reported that Fightful Select said she was not approached about an appearance. That is a report attributed to Fightful Select, not an official WWE statement; no WWE confirmation about whether she was invited or considered is established here.

What happened after the 2026 Royal Rumble?
Paige’s return to a WWE ring came later: WrestleTalk reported that she returned at WrestleMania 42 on April 18, 2026. That subsequent appearance was not a Royal Rumble entry. In an interview published April 23, she reflected on the Rumble speculation and the continued fan interest. WrestleTalk’s account transcribed her saying that fans had thought she would return at No. 30 and that she felt the interest was still there.
In a later interview, Paige said she wanted to take part in a future Royal Rumble, as well as Elimination Chamber and other stipulation matches. Those were goals she expressed after her return, not evidence that she had been booked for the 2026 Rumble. 411Mania reported those comments on April 24.
