Paige DeSorbo said she felt Craig Conover viewed her growing success as a negative, but that is her interpretation of their relationship—not proof of his private motive. In a Season 9 conversation shown on Summer House, the former couple argued about Paige’s workload, the attention they gave their relationship, and what marriage and children could mean for their future.
What Paige said about Craig and her career
In a Season 9 conversation recapped by Bravo on March 12, 2025, Paige told Craig she had not had a day off in a long time and that her career was getting busier. Craig said he wanted their relationship to remain a priority. He also told her, “I was just being honest that if you were this busy for the rest of our lives, I wouldn’t see it working out.” Bravo’s recap of the conversation connected the disagreement to their expectations about work, marriage, and possible children.
Paige said she felt Craig saw her growing success as “a bad thing” and worried she would feel guilty if he was not her number-one priority. She also said, “I don’t ever want to live a slow life.” The exchange captured a conflict over the pace of her career and the kind of life each imagined, not a confirmed explanation of Craig’s feelings.
Why Paige called him a “secret hater”
In another Season 9 moment, Paige told Ciara Miller that Craig had said off camera he would not say on camera that Paige was much busier and that her work was bigger, because he thought doing so would be negative for her. Paige said that acknowledgment would validate her work and asked, “Am I dating a secret hater?” Bravo’s recap presents this as Paige’s account of a conversation, not independent evidence of Craig’s motive.

What each perspective adds to the disagreement
The televised exchange and Paige’s later recollections offer different but related views of the conflict. Paige described feeling that her work was not being recognized and that her success was treated as a problem. Craig’s on-camera concern, as reported by Bravo, was that a relationship could not work if Paige stayed that busy and their shared life did not get enough attention.
In an After Show discussion, Paige described communication problems, saying Craig could take her directness as a personal attack. She also said she would not make a partner her number-one priority, and that children would come first if she had them. Looking back, Paige said Craig found ways to make her career milestones about him, according to Us Weekly’s March 19, 2025, account of their split. That is her retrospective account. The available reporting does not establish jealousy as a fact or settle what either person privately intended.
How the comments fit the breakup timeline
- Late 2024: Paige and Craig’s relationship ended. Bravo reported that Paige announced the breakup in December. Bravo’s coverage provides that context.

Was Craig jealous of Paige’s success?
Paige said she felt that way, and she described moments when she believed her work was not being acknowledged. Craig’s comments in the televised conversation focused on whether the relationship could work if her schedule remained so demanding and on his hopes for their future. The record supports saying that they disagreed about career, time, and priorities; it does not support presenting jealousy as an independently verified motive.
