The three-episode opening makes Season 1 especially easy to start as a weekend binge. If you prefer the original weekly rhythm, begin with Episodes 1–3 together and then continue weekly from Episode 4.
ABC’s Season 1 broadcast schedule
ABC gave Season 1 its U.S. broadcast debut on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Instead of following Hulu’s 10-week release pattern, ABC aired the episodes in four two-hour Tuesday-night blocks: three episodes in each of the first three broadcasts, followed by the finale on its own.

Those dates are historical. They describe ABC’s 2024 broadcast event, not a current promise that ABC is rerunning the entire season. ABC also announced a broadcast run of Season 2 beginning January 2, 2025, but ABC’s broadcast windows are not the clearest current on-demand route for Seasons 1–3.

Is the ABC version the same as the Hulu version?
It is the same Season 1 story, but viewers should not automatically treat the ABC broadcasts as identical cuts of the Hulu episodes. The ABC presentation was edited to meet network broadcast standards. Hulu is the better choice if you want the original streaming presentation and the simplest episode-by-episode experience.
Where to watch Only Murders in the Building Seasons 1, 2, and 3
Hulu: the primary U.S. option
For U.S. viewers, the most direct option is to watch Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. Hulu’s official series listing identifies the program as a Hulu Original and currently lists five seasons and 50 episodes, so Seasons 1, 2, and 3 are part of the service’s series catalog as researched for this guide.
Hulu also lists the show as a 2021 TV-MA comedy series. Catalog presentation, subscription terms, pricing, and availability can change, so check the current Hulu listing before subscribing.
Hulu on Disney+: an eligible U.S. bundle option

ABC: a past broadcast home, not the main viewing recommendation
ABC aired Season 1 in January 2024 and later carried a broadcast run of Season 2. Those broadcasts were scheduled television windows rather than the most reliable way to access all three seasons on demand. - Season 2 — the trio deals with the aftermath of Bunny Folger’s death while facing public suspicion and a competing podcast.
- Season 3 — the mystery moves into the Broadway world, involving the death of Ben Glenroy and Oliver’s theatrical production.
Watch the seasons chronologically. The mysteries are designed to unfold in order, but the character relationships, podcast history, and consequences of earlier investigations also carry forward. Starting with Season 1 on ABC and then locating Seasons 2 and 3 separately is possible, but using Hulu for the original first season and continuing there is a cleaner viewing experience.

Season 2
Season 2 premiered on Hulu on June 28, 2022, with two episodes. It concluded with its 10th episode on August 23, 2022. Season 3

Both seasons are best approached after Season 1. Even when a season introduces a new central case, returning to earlier events helps explain why the trio works together—and why their investigations create new enemies as often as they uncover clues.
