First, find out whether the stream is unstable for the broadcaster or whether only a viewer’s playback is buffering. Those are different problems: broadcaster-side trouble points to upload stability, encoder settings, or computer load; viewer-only buffering calls for checks on the viewer’s device and connection. OneStream Live’s published recommendations offer useful starting points, but the available evidence does not establish a particular JioFiber router setting as a fix.
First locate where the buffering happens
Check the outgoing stream in OneStream Live or YouTube Live Control Room, including any ingestion warnings. Then compare it with playback on a viewer’s device. YouTube transcodes live streams into multiple formats for different devices and networks, so a sound incoming stream and a viewer’s playback problem are distinct stages to investigate (YouTube: Live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions).
- Broadcaster-side instability: start with the encoder, the streaming computer, and measured upload performance.
- One viewer affected: compare playback on another device, browser or app, and network before changing the broadcast settings.
Check encoder settings and upload headroom
For an RTMP encoder, confirm that resolution, frame rate, keyframe interval, and bitrate are appropriate for the chosen workflow and supported by YouTube’s current encoder guidance. OneStream Live lists minimum video bitrates of 1.5 Mbps for 720p and 3 Mbps for 1080p. These are its troubleshooting recommendations, not a guarantee that a stream will remain stable (OneStream Live Help Center: How to fix buffering issues while live streaming).
OneStream Live recommends at least 10 Mbps upload, describes 25 Mbps or higher as ideal, and advises keeping video bitrate at no more than half the available upload speed. These are service recommendations, not a measurement of your JioFiber connection. Measure upload performance on the streaming device, preferably while the buffering occurs; advertised download speed alone does not establish usable upload headroom. If the connection is inconsistent, lower bitrate, resolution, or frame rate for a controlled test rather than changing several settings at once.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
YouTube recommends RTMPS for live ingestion. For exact encoder values, use YouTube’s current table for your codec, resolution, and frame rate rather than assuming a single bitrate or keyframe setting suits every configuration (YouTube: Live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions).
Compare Ethernet with Wi-Fi
OneStream Live recommends an Ethernet connection whenever possible for better stability. Connect the streaming computer directly to the router with a cable and compare a test stream against Wi-Fi. If you cannot use Ethernet, try streaming closer to the Wi-Fi router. This is a practical way to test connection stability, not evidence that JioFiber itself is at fault.

A router restart is a basic check if the connection is unstable, but repeatedly rebooting it does not diagnose a JioFiber-specific problem. If measured upload speeds remain low, contact your ISP. OneStream Live’s connection and buffering guidance is available in its troubleshooting article.
Check computer load and the broadcast workflow
High CPU use can affect stream stability and cause buffering or pixelation. OneStream Live flags CPU usage of 80% or higher as a reason to try its troubleshooting steps: close unnecessary applications, keep a laptop plugged into power, restart the device, or lower encoder settings. OBS users can run OBS Analyzer to identify critical issues or warnings (OneStream Live Help Center).

The right place to inspect depends on how you broadcast. OneStream Live documents prerecorded, Studio, RTMP, and custom-website workflows, and says a social destination such as YouTube must be connected before streaming. For Studio, examine Studio and browser/device conditions; with an external encoder, examine its settings and outgoing feed (OneStream Live: How to go live with OneStream Live).
If only viewers’ playback buffers
Test playback on another device and another internet connection. Temporarily lowering playback quality can also help determine whether the issue is specific to one viewer’s connection or device. YouTube’s transcoding provides formats for varied devices and networks, but that does not identify the cause of a particular viewer’s buffering.

The available guidance does not establish that changing JioFiber DNS, disabling IPv6, or modifying another router setting fixes this OneStream Live-to-YouTube symptom. Avoid treating those changes as proven remedies. Start with the observable comparisons: broadcaster output versus viewer playback, Ethernet versus Wi-Fi, measured upload versus bitrate, and normal versus reduced device load.
