Hints for today’s NYT Connections
Each hint points toward one category without giving away its four tiles.
- Yellow: Think of a hefty sum.
- Green: Small, valuable pieces of advice or knowledge.
- Blue: Connected to a popular 1993 movie.
- Purple: These items share a color.
How Connections works
Connections presents sixteen words and asks you to sort them into four groups of four based on a shared property. Some words can suggest more than one plausible grouping, so consider whether the remaining twelve tiles still make sense as three complete groups before submitting.

Where to play or find older puzzles
The New York Times Help Center says the daily game releases at midnight in the player’s timezone and is available on the NYT Games website and through NYT apps. Its Connections help page currently describes the game as free to play.
The NYT Help Center says the historical archive is available to All Access and Games subscribers and includes puzzles dating back to June 12, 2023. Playing an archived puzzle affects certain statistics but does not count toward current or maximum streaks. Access terms may change; see the NYT Help Center for current details.
