Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu (2024) has an officially released extended cut, available on Universal’s listed 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD editions. But the official release information does not confirm that the extra footage shows more of Count Orlok seducing Ellen. It gives the cut’s runtime and lists deleted scenes separately, without identifying what footage was added.
What the extended cut confirms—and what it doesn’t
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment described the home release as including “a new extended cut not seen in theaters.” That confirms the alternate cut exists; it does not establish which scenes were extended or added. Universal’s edition listings identify the extended cut on the 4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital, Blu-ray + Digital and DVD editions.
The release announcement also lists three deleted-scene bonuses: “Ellen at the Window,” “Harding’s Bedchamber/Dark Corridor” and “Behold, the Third Night.” They are identified as bonus features, separately from the extended cut. Universal does not say these scenes are incorporated into the cut or provide a scene-by-scene comparison. So the claim that the extended version specifically contains more Orlok-and-Ellen seduction material remains unverified by the official release information.
How much longer is the extended cut?
Universal’s January 21, 2025 home-entertainment announcement lists these runtimes. The difference is 3 minutes 28 seconds in both formats:

| Format | Theatrical runtime | Extended runtime | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4K UHD and Blu-ray | 2:12:17 | 2:15:45 | 3 minutes 28 seconds |
| DVD | 2:12:25 | 2:15:53 | 3 minutes 28 seconds |
These are distributor-published figures. The runtime difference tells you how much longer the versions are, not what the additional footage depicts.
