No Game No Life season 2 has not been confirmed by the claims covered here. A fan discussion in July 2024 challenged a supposed announcement linked to Aniplex and KADOKAWA; in a separate episode in January 2025, creator Yuu Kamiya called the season-two claims then circulating fake rumors. Neither item establishes a production start, release date, or studio attachment.
What was the season 2 “leak”?
A Reddit discussion on July 24, 2024, captured fans calling out a supposed announcement connected to Aniplex and KADOKAWA. That thread is evidence of fan reaction and skepticism—not proof of a leak, a rights arrangement, or a production decision. The discussion should not be treated as an official announcement.
What did Yuu Kamiya say about season 2?
On January 20, 2025, Anime Corner reported that No Game No Life author Yuu Kamiya responded to a viral claim that a MADHOUSE sequel had been confirmed. The outlet quoted his post: “Good morning. I woke up to a ridiculous number of DMs, but they’re all fake rumors. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t contact me about them.” Anime Corner’s report and ComicBook.com’s coverage both describe Kamiya rejecting the season-two news then circulating as fake.
Are the 2024 and 2025 claims the same rumor?
The available reporting does not establish that they are. The July 2024 Reddit thread and Kamiya’s January 2025 response are separate evidence points. Connecting them as one continuous leak would go beyond what these sources show.

What is actually confirmed about a sequel?
These sources establish neither a season-two production start nor a release date or confirmed studio attachment. The fan discussion cannot establish production status, and Kamiya’s response addresses the rumors then circulating; it does not, by itself, settle every possible future plan for the franchise. KADOKAWA’s anime titles catalog is not a definitive record of sequel status, so its listing should not be used to prove either confirmation or cancellation.
For current status, look for a direct announcement from an official No Game No Life, publisher, or production channel, rather than relying on screenshots or reposted claims. If you want to revisit the source material, No Game No Life is also a light-novel franchise; a sequel rumor does not mean buying the novels has any effect on whether an anime is produced.
