The video’s introduction sets up the premise: Offerman says, “For obvious reasons, there are a lot of Republicans who are suddenly very Kamala-curious.” The song then speaks through an imagined former Republican voter who supports Harris and Walz.
What the song is about
The narrator describes a change in political allegiance, presenting support for Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as an alternative to the Republican ticket. This is a constructed point of view for the parody; it should not be taken as evidence of Offerman’s own voting history.

In the official upload description, Offerman calls it an anthem about a former Republican voter who sees his way to voting for Harris and Walz. That description is from the channel, not a separately attributed interview statement.
The song’s source and credits
“Proud to Be a Kamala Man” parodies Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” recasting the patriotic song’s musical frame for an election-season political message. Nick Offerman and Mark Rivers are credited with the lyrics, and Dunshire Productions is credited for the video.
