Nicki Minaj released “Big Foot” on January 28, 2024, two days after Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hiss.” Minaj’s track directly names Megan and responds to a “Megan’s Law” lyric that some listeners—and Minaj—understood as a reference to her husband, Kenneth Petty. Megan did not name either of them in that lyric, so the connection was an interpretation, not confirmed intent.
When did “Big Foot” come out?

What is “Big Foot” about?
The song answers what Minaj perceived as a jab in “Hiss.” Megan’s lyric mentions “Megan’s Law,” but does not name Minaj or Petty. The Washington Post and TIME reported the perceived connection to Petty in their coverage. Megan’s own explanation, reported by The Washington Post, was that “Hiss” addressed people who use her name for attention: “Every time one of these motherf-ckers uses Megan Thee Stallion’s name, they get 24 hours of attention.”
What does Minaj say in the track?
“Big Foot” directly names Megan. Its insults mock her height and refer to the 2020 shooting in which Megan was injured; Minaj’s lyrics challenge Megan’s account of the incident and invoke her late mother. Those are accusations and insults made in a diss track, not independently established findings. The song ends with a spoken-word passage suggesting Minaj might continue the exchange.

Did Megan respond to “Big Foot”?
Reports published by The FADER, The Washington Post, and TIME on January 29, 2024, said Megan had not directly responded to “Big Foot” by that point. That describes the news at the time; it does not establish her response status today.
