The biggest Prime Video release in March 2025 was The Wheel of Time season 3, which premiered on March 13. The month also brought the final season of Bosch: Legacy, the thrillers Holland and Tyler Perry’s Duplicity, the romantic comedy Picture This, the sports documentary For the Win: NWSL, and a substantial selection of licensed movies.
This is a U.S.-focused, historical guide to Prime Video’s March 2025 schedule. It separates new Prime Video series and films from returning shows, live sports, FAST-channel additions, and movies that arrived through changing licenses. A March release date does not guarantee that a title is still included with Prime today.
The best new Prime Video releases from March 2025
If you only want the essential shortlist, start here:
- The Wheel of Time season 3 — March 13: The month’s main fantasy event and the most important release for viewers already following Rand, Moiraine, and the Dragon Reborn.
- Bosch: Legacy season 3 — March 27: The third and final season of the crime drama starring Titus Welliver as Harry Bosch.
- Holland — March 27: A psychological thriller led by Nicole Kidman, Matthew Macfadyen, and Gael García Bernal.
- Picture This — March 6: A romantic comedy starring Simone Ashley and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.
- For the Win: NWSL — March 6: A four-part documentary about the National Women’s Soccer League’s 2024 season.
- Tyler Perry’s Duplicity — March 20: A legal thriller about an attorney investigating her friend’s husband’s shooting.
New Prime Video shows and series
The Wheel of Time season 3 — March 13
The Wheel of Time season 3 was the month’s headline Prime Video series. The season returned Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, Daniel Henney as Lan Mandragoran, and Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, with Shohreh Aghdashloo and Olivia Williams among the new faces in the cast.

The story continues to follow Moiraine and Rand as the identity and responsibilities of the Dragon Reborn become increasingly difficult to escape. The Dark One’s allies are also becoming a more immediate threat. The season opened with three episodes on March 13, giving established viewers a substantial return rather than a single introductory episode.
This is the clearest March recommendation for fantasy viewers, but it is not an especially accessible starting point for someone who has never seen the adaptation. If you are new to the series, watch the first two seasons before beginning season 3; the show’s political alliances, magical rules, and large cast are difficult to absorb from a partial introduction.
Optional source material: The series adapts Robert Jordan’s fantasy novels, completed after Jordan’s death by Brandon Sanderson. If the show leaves you wanting more background, The Wheel of Time books are a companion rather than a prerequisite. The novels also provide a much broader version of the world and its characters than the television adaptation can cover.
Bosch: Legacy season 3 — March 27
Bosch: Legacy returned for its third and final season on March 27. Titus Welliver again plays former Los Angeles detective Harry Bosch, continuing the television franchise inspired by Michael Connelly’s crime novels.

Tom’s Guide connected the season’s story material with Connelly’s novels The Black Ice and Desert Star, while also noting the franchise’s direction toward the Renée Ballard character. That connection is useful context, although the timing and availability of any related spin-off should be checked separately rather than assumed from this release.
Optional source material: Readers who want more of Bosch’s investigations can explore Michael Connelly’s Bosch books. The novels are not a scene-by-scene substitute for the television series, but they are a natural next step for viewers interested in the character’s original cases and chronology.
The Divorce Insurance — March 31
The Divorce Insurance is a 12-episode South Korean series starring Lee Dong-wook as a product developer who has been married and divorced three times. He decides to create an insurance policy for divorce, an unusual premise that makes this the month’s most distinctive international relationship comedy-drama.
It is a good choice for viewers who want something outside the usual English-language Prime Video lineup, especially if a high-concept story about marriage, risk, and emotional damage sounds more appealing than another conventional romantic drama.

Jimmy Carr hosts the British edition of Last One Laughing, challenging 10 British comedians to spend time together without laughing. The performers must try to make one another break while keeping their own expressions under control.
The format suits viewers looking for an ensemble comedy competition rather than a scripted sitcom or a traditional stand-up special. Its appeal comes from watching comedians use timing, improvisation, and increasingly elaborate attempts to provoke a reaction.

For the Win: NWSL — March 6
For the Win: NWSL is a four-part documentary series following the National Women’s Soccer League through its 2024 season. The official description highlights stars including Alex Morgan, Trinity Rodman, and Marta.
For documentary viewers, this is one of March’s most relevant additions. It is a season-in-review sports series rather than a scripted sports drama, and it provides a way into the league through its major players and competitive storylines.

Iliza Shlesinger’s hourlong stand-up special was filmed in Salt Lake City. Its subject matter includes relationships, sex, marriage, and the idea of the ideal man. This is the straightforward choice for viewers who want a single-session comedy special rather than a series.
New Prime Video movies
Holland — March 27
Directed by Mimi Cave, Holland stars Nicole Kidman, Matthew Macfadyen, and Gael García Bernal. The story is set in a seemingly perfect Midwestern town, where a woman begins to suspect that her husband is living a double life.
The film’s central hook is the tension between the town’s polished, idyllic appearance and the protagonist’s growing suspicions. That makes it the strongest March movie pick for adult thriller viewers who prefer domestic secrets and psychological unease to a straightforward action plot.
Picture This — March 6
Simone Ashley and Hero Fiennes Tiffin lead Picture This, a romantic comedy about a photographer trying to balance professional and personal pressures while an ex reappears ahead of her sister’s wedding.

The film adapts the basic premise of the Australian movie Five Blind Dates, relocating the story to the United Kingdom and centering on Pia’s predicted five-date search for love. It is the most obvious March pick for viewers looking for a lighter, relationship-focused movie.
Tyler Perry’s Duplicity — March 20
Kat Graham stars as a high-powered attorney who investigates the shooting death of her best friend’s husband in Tyler Perry’s Duplicity. Meagan Tandy and Joshua Adeyeye are also part of the central cast, while Tyler Lepley plays Graham’s private-investigator boyfriend.

Transformers One — March 25
Transformers One arrived on Prime Video on March 25 according to the detailed March schedule used for this guide. It should be described as a Prime Video March addition rather than automatically labeled an Amazon Original: the official About Amazon highlights did not include it in the same way as the platform’s original productions.
The movie expands the Transformers mythology with an origin-focused story, making it a natural option for viewers looking for an animated action film or a family-oriented franchise title.
The major licensed movie additions
March 1 brought a particularly large batch of catalog films. These were licensed additions, not necessarily Prime Video originals, and their inclusion could vary by country, subscription tier, licensing window, or date of access.
The identified March 1 arrivals included:
- 12 Angry Men
- A Fistful of Dollars
- A Million Ways to Die in the West
- Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
- Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey
- Blue Velvet
- Cold Pursuit
- Contagion
- Madagascar
- Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
- Michael Clayton
- Midnight Run
- Mystic Pizza
- Pitch Perfect 2
- Snatch
- Soul Surfer
- Starship Troopers
- Super 8
- The Accountant
- The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
- The Mule
- The Night of the Hunter
- Thief
- Touch of Evil
- WarGames
The wider March catalog reporting also highlighted the Back to the Future trilogy and several Monty Python films. Those titles, like the other licensed movies, should be treated as part of the historical March 2025 catalog rather than as a promise of current availability.
March 2025 movies worth looking for by date
Beyond the March 1 catalog batch and the major Prime Video films above, the detailed schedule identified these notable arrivals:
- March 4: Smile 2.
- March 7: Poor Things.
- March 16: A Walk Among the Tombstones and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
- March 18: Twisters.
- March 22: Spotlight.
- March 23: Sausage Party.
These are especially useful if you are browsing for a particular genre: Smile 2 for horror, Poor Things and Spotlight for acclaimed adult drama, Twisters for blockbuster disaster action, and Popstar for music-industry satire.
New episodes of returning Prime Video shows
Not every important March title was a premiere. Prime Video also carried new episodes of:

These belong in a returning-series watchlist rather than a list of shows that began in March. If you are choosing what to watch week to week, they may provide more ongoing viewing than the month’s smaller number of new scripted premieres.
Sports on Prime Video in March 2025
Prime Video’s highlighted live sports schedule included National Women’s Soccer League coverage beginning March 7. The detailed schedule also identified NWSL fixtures on March 7, 14, 21, and 28.

Boxing highlights included PBC Championship Boxing: Tank vs. Roach on March 1 and PBC Championship Boxing: Fundora vs. Booker on March 22. FAST-channel additions
FAST-channel additions are different from conventional Prime Video subscription premieres. They are channel-based streams and may be presented differently across Prime Video interfaces and regions.
The March schedule identified the following channel additions:
- March 4: Ultraman Channel.
- March 18: Classic Car Auctions, Locked Up Abroad, and PBS.
- March 25–31: Amazon Live.
- During the month: Modern Innovations by History and Storage Wars were also listed, along with Amazon Live in the monthly channel schedule.
These additions are most relevant to viewers who browse live or linear channel offerings, not readers searching only for new scripted series and movies included in the standard Prime Video catalog.
How to watch Prime Video titles from this list
Prime Video availability depends on the country, the title’s licensing window, and whether a movie is included with the Prime Video subscription or offered separately as a rental, purchase, or add-on-channel title. Search the title directly in the Prime Video app and check the playback or purchase label before assuming it is included.

Important date and availability notes
This schedule is primarily U.S.-oriented. The official About Amazon announcement gives March 27 for both Bosch: Legacy season 3 and Holland, while a separate detailed schedule displayed March 26 for those titles. The difference may reflect publication timing, time-zone or regional presentation, or a schedule revision. For a U.S. article, March 27 is the date used here because it appears in the official Amazon announcement.

The same caution applies to the licensed movie list. Prime Video rights change, and a title that appeared in the March 2025 U.S. schedule may later leave the included catalog, move to an add-on channel, become a rental or purchase, or disappear from the service altogether. Availability in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other markets may differ from the U.S. schedule.
The schedule was assembled from the official About Amazon March announcement for Amazon titles, sports, and platform highlights, with Tom’s Guide used for detailed dates and plot context and TechRadar used as a secondary check on catalog additions. Where the sources differed, the geography and uncertainty are identified rather than silently combined.
Frequently Asked Questions
What was the biggest new Prime Video release in March 2025?
The Wheel of Time season 3 was the month’s main Prime Video release. It premiered in the U.S. on March 13, 2025, with three opening episodes.
Was Bosch: Legacy season 3 released on March 26 or March 27?
The official About Amazon schedule gives March 27 for the U.S. release. A separate detailed schedule listed March 26, which may reflect publication timing, regional or time-zone presentation, or a schedule change. This guide uses the official March 27 date.
Are the March 2025 movies still included with Prime Video?
Not necessarily. Many of the films were licensed catalog additions, and Prime Video rights rotate. A title may now be unavailable, available through an add-on channel, or offered only as a rental or purchase. Check the title’s current listing in the Prime Video app.
Which March 2025 Prime Video release is best for documentary viewers?
For the Win: NWSL is the clearest documentary recommendation. It is a four-part series following the National Women’s Soccer League through the 2024 season and features players including Alex Morgan, Trinity Rodman, and Marta.
The Bottom Line
March 2025 was lighter than some Prime Video months, but it had a clear centerpiece in The Wheel of Time season 3, a franchise finale in Bosch: Legacy season 3, and a useful mix of thrillers, comedy, international television, sports documentaries, live events, and licensed movies. For the strongest starting points, choose The Wheel of Time for fantasy, Holland for a thriller, Picture This for romance, and For the Win: NWSL for documentary viewing. Treat the calendar as a record of the U.S. March 2025 schedule, not a guarantee of what remains on Prime Video today.
