Netflix’s January 2025 additions were three very different releases: 13 Going on 30 arrived on January 1, WWE Raw began its Netflix run on January 6, and XO, Kitty season 2 premiered on January 16. Here is what each release means—and what to know about regional availability.
Netflix’s January 2025 additions were not three equivalent launches. 13 Going on 30 joined the catalog on January 1, WWE Raw began its Netflix run with a live episode on January 6, and XO, Kitty season 2 premiered on January 16.
That gives the month three different reasons to watch: a nostalgic romantic comedy, a weekly live wrestling program, and the continuation of Kitty Song-Covey’s story in Seoul. Availability can differ by country and can change after a title is added, so treat the dates below as the historical Netflix release dates rather than a guarantee that every title remains in every Netflix library.
Netflix releases in January 2025 at a glance
| Date | Title | What kind of addition? | Why it matters |

The second season is more than a continuation of Kitty’s relationship drama. Its story also involves secrets connected to her family and her late mother, giving Kitty a deeper personal reason to investigate her past. The season develops her understanding of her family and Korean heritage alongside the school and romance storylines.
Noah Centineo also returns as Peter Kavinsky, the character associated with the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films. His appearance connects the series to the wider To All the Boys universe, but the main focus remains Kitty’s life in Seoul and the choices she faces there.
What to expect from season 2
- Kitty begins another semester at the Korean Independent School of Seoul.
- New romantic complications add pressure to her relationships.
- New characters expand the school’s social circle.
- Family secrets give the season a more personal mystery.
- Kitty’s connection to her family history and Korean heritage becomes more important.
If you are checking the title now rather than in January 2025, search for XO, Kitty directly in the Netflix app or website. A January premiere date does not establish permanent availability, and Netflix libraries are territory-specific.

13 Going on 30 arrived January 1
The first of these January additions was 13 Going on 30, which was listed as a Netflix arrival for January 1, 2025. The 2004 film stars Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo in a fantasy romantic comedy about Jenna Rink.
Jenna is 13 when she wishes to skip ahead to adulthood. She then wakes up as her 30-year-old self and has to navigate the adult life she once imagined she wanted. The body-swap setup supplies the comedy, while the film’s romance and coming-of-age themes give the premise its emotional center.
Unlike XO, Kitty season 2, this was a catalog-licensing addition rather than a new Netflix original. That distinction matters: Netflix’s January listing records when the film entered the service, but licensing arrangements can change. The film may not be available in every country or remain in every Netflix catalog.

Want to own the film?
If you want to keep a physical copy rather than depend on streaming availability, search for the 13 Going on 30 DVD or 13 Going on 30 Blu-ray. A Fun & Flirty Edition is also associated with the film’s physical-media releases. Prices, sellers, stock, and edition details can change, so check the specific listing before buying. The disc is a separate home-media product, not a Netflix product.
WWE Raw began streaming live on January 6
WWE Raw began its Netflix run on January 6, 2025. This was not the premiere of a conventional scripted season. It marked a distribution change for a long-running weekly wrestling program: Raw moved into a live Netflix era.
The January schedule continued with weekly episodes on January 13, January 20, and January 27. The first Netflix-era episode featured major WWE stars and established the show’s new home and live-weekly viewing pattern.

What “Netflix home” means for Raw
In the United States, Netflix described itself as the exclusive home of Raw beginning January 6, 2025. That U.S. description should not be generalized to the entire world. Netflix’s rights and the amount of archived programming available can vary by region.
It is therefore more accurate to say that WWE Raw began streaming live on Netflix on January 6, 2025 than to call the event a “season 1 premiere.” Netflix may organize episodes using season and date labels in its title guide, but the editorial story is the start of the program’s Netflix distribution period.
How the three January additions differ
These titles appeal to different viewing habits:
- Choose XO, Kitty season 2 if you want an ongoing teen series with romance, school drama, and a family-history storyline. It works best for viewers already familiar with Kitty’s story.
- Choose 13 Going on 30 if you want a self-contained nostalgic film. Its 2004 release and Garner–Ruffalo pairing make it a catalog comfort watch rather than a new Netflix production.
- Choose WWE Raw if you want a recurring live event. It is a weekly wrestling program, not a finite scripted season that arrives all at once.

For access today, search each title in your local Netflix library. Catalog films are especially subject to licensing changes, while sports rights and archival episode access can also differ by country.
