Netflix labels the new video “2nd-3rd STAGE Trailer: STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.” Its title page also lists earlier first-stage promotional videos, so this is the follow-up trailer, not the series’ original trailer. When did the follow-up episodes begin streaming?
Netflix announced that the 11 episodes would stream every Friday starting September 25, 2026. David Production separately announced the same 11-episode count and Friday start date for worldwide exclusive advance streaming on Netflix. Both announcements are dated in July 2026; by October 8, the stated start date had passed. What does the trailer reveal?
Netflix’s Anime Expo announcement identifies Mountain Tim, Hot Pants, and Funny Valentine as newly revealed characters. It also describes this stage as a roughly 750-mile desert crossing and as the second of the story’s nine stages. Those are details of Netflix’s promotional description of the fictional race, not independently verified real-world race statistics. What is Steel Ball Run about?
Netflix’s official trailer description sets the story in America in 1890. It follows Johnny Joestar, a former jockey paralyzed from the waist down, as he pursues outlaw Gyro Zeppeli during a difficult cross-continent horse race. The 2nd-3rd STAGE continues that story into the desert portion of the race. Netflix describes Steel Ball Run as a television adaptation based on manga; readers looking for the source material can look for the Steel Ball Run manga, though edition and current availability vary by market.

Where can you watch Steel Ball Run?
Netflix is the official streaming destination named by both Netflix and David Production. The series page currently lists two seasons, but Netflix’s catalog presentation, audio and subtitle options, and availability can differ by country. Check the title page in your region for the episodes and language options available to you; a listing in one country does not establish availability everywhere.
