Netflix Tudum 2025 already took place on May 31, 2025. The live event was held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and streamed exclusively on Netflix at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific. It is no longer a live broadcast, but Netflix now presents the approximately 1-hour-54-minute program as an on-demand title, alongside an official replay and recap destination.
The event delivered the announcements many viewers expected: the Squid Game Season 3 trailer and release date, the three-part holiday schedule for Stranger Things 5, the first six minutes of Wednesday Season 2, a first look at Tony Tony Chopper in One Piece Season 2, and new footage and dates for several Netflix films.
How to watch the Netflix Tudum 2025 replay
The original distribution was simple: Netflix only. Tudum 2025 was not announced as a free YouTube or Twitch livestream. It streamed live on Netflix from the Kia Forum on Saturday, May 31, 2025, beginning at:
- 8 p.m. Eastern Time
- 7 p.m. Central Time
- 6 p.m. Mountain Time
- 5 p.m. Pacific Time
Netflix’s official event listing now identifies the completed program as a TV-MA title with a runtime of 1 hour and 54 minutes. Look for the Tudum 2025 event page in Netflix and choose the replay or recap option rather than expecting a live countdown.

Netflix’s general live-event guidance says live programming is included with all Netflix plans. Availability can still vary by language and device, and Netflix account or regional restrictions continue to apply. The event was designed for global Netflix viewing rather than for a separate public livestream platform.
Devices that could play the livestream
Netflix says its live events work on most newer:
- Smart TVs
- Streaming media players
- Android and iOS devices
- Computers
- Game consoles
A dedicated device was not required. If Netflix works on a supported television, phone, tablet, browser, or console, that was generally the intended route for watching Tudum.
There is one important technical limitation: Netflix’s live-event guidance says casting or mirroring from a mobile device or Chrome browser is not supported for live events. If the television app is compatible, use the Netflix app directly instead of relying on a phone-to-TV cast.
Older or unsupported devices may not receive a live event at the same time. Netflix says some such devices can receive the program a few days later as a conventional on-demand title. That distinction matters less now that Tudum 2025 is complete, but it explains why some viewers may have been unable to join the original broadcast.

What viewers expected before the event
The pre-event coverage focused on several of Netflix’s largest franchises and upcoming films. The biggest anticipation surrounded:
- Stranger Things 5: the final season’s release plan and new footage
- Squid Game Season 3: a trailer and information about the concluding season
- Wednesday Season 2: new footage and the mystery surrounding Lady Gaga’s involvement
- One Piece Season 2: a first look at Tony Tony Chopper

- Happy Gilmore 2: its official trailer
The announced lineup also included Emily in Paris, Frankenstein, Love Is Blind, Outer Banks, The Rip, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, The Life List, WWE, and other Netflix productions. Being listed as a participating title did not mean that each received a major release announcement or trailer.

What Netflix actually announced
Squid Game Season 3 received its final trailer
Tudum premiered the official trailer for Squid Game Season 3, which Netflix described as the third and final season. Netflix confirmed a June 27, 2025 premiere.
Stranger Things 5 was split across three dates
Netflix used Tudum to reveal a holiday-season release schedule for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The episodes were scheduled in three parts, with each release set for 5 p.m. Pacific Time:
| Release date | Episodes |
|---|---|
| November 26, 2025 | Four episodes |
| December 25, 2025 | Three episodes |
| December 31, 2025 | The finale |
The Associated Press independently reported the same three-part holiday structure and described the trailer as teasing a final confrontation with Vecna. Netflix’s own post-event recap is the source for the specific 5 p.m. Pacific release time.
Wednesday Season 2 opened with six minutes of footage
Tudum debuted the first six minutes of Wednesday Season 2. The event also confirmed that Lady Gaga would appear as Rosaline Rotwood, described by Netflix as a mysterious, enigmatic teacher at Nevermore.
There is a small date-reporting discrepancy worth preserving rather than glossing over. Netflix’s official recap lists the two-part Season 2 release dates as August 6 and September 4, 2025. An Associated Press report gave the second date as September 3, 2025. If you are checking historical schedules, use Netflix’s official recap date of September 4, while noting that the AP report differed.
One Piece Season 2 showed Tony Tony Chopper
Netflix showed the first look at Tony Tony Chopper, the reindeer doctor and one of the best-known characters from One Piece. Mikaela Hoover was announced as Chopper’s voice performer. Netflix said the second season was coming in 2026, without the Tudum announcement supplying a more specific release date.

Wake Up Dead Man set its Netflix premiere
The third Benoit Blanc mystery, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, received an exclusive sneak peek and a confirmed global Netflix premiere date of December 12, 2025.
The featured cast included Daniel Craig, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Cailee Spaeny, and Daryl McCormack. Rian Johnson returned to the mystery series as writer-director.
Frankenstein unveiled a teaser
Tudum premiered an official teaser for Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, with Oscar Isaac among the featured talent. The segment was a teaser reveal rather than a complete explanation of the film’s plot or release strategy.
Happy Gilmore 2 and The Rip
The event premiered the official trailer for Happy Gilmore 2. It also presented release information for The Rip, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s crime thriller. Netflix’s recap identifies both films among the event’s reveals, but the available recap material does not provide a sufficiently reliable exact date for The Rip here; its dedicated Netflix title page is the appropriate source for the film’s release information.

How large was Netflix Tudum 2025?
Netflix described the event as a sold-out, approximately two-hour celebration attended by thousands of fans at the Kia Forum and watched live by millions of members. The company also reported more than 1.4 billion global impressions from the surrounding social campaign.
Netflix separately said the Stranger Things 5 date-announcement asset generated 250 million impressions across Netflix channels in its first 96 hours. These are Netflix-reported campaign figures, not independently audited measurements of live viewership. “Impressions” also should not be treated as the same thing as unique viewers.
What you do—and do not—need to watch the replay
You do not need special Tudum merchandise, a particular television brand, or a separate livestream subscription. The essential requirement is access to Netflix on a compatible device. If you want a larger-screen setup, a supported smart TV, streaming media player, or game console may be convenient, but Netflix lists these as playback options rather than mandatory purchases.
