For the week of October 12–18, 2026, Netflix Tudum’s October calendar lists releases from Monday through Friday, October 12–16. My documentary picks are Free Leonard Peltier, TYSON and Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald; for a suspense-led story, I’m also eyeing The Storm and Heat. These are watch-list choices based on the published descriptions, not reviews.
What’s new on Netflix next week?
Netflix Tudum’s calendar, published September 30, 2026, lists the following titles for October 12–16. It shows no entries for October 17 or 18, so the weekend dates are left blank rather than filled with speculation. The calendar is a published schedule, not a guarantee that every title will be available in every country or account; check the Netflix app in your region.

My documentary watch-list picks
Free Leonard Peltier — Monday, October 12
This is the week’s clearest fit for viewers looking for a documentary focused on activism and a contested conviction. Tudum’s description centers on a new generation fighting to free American Indian Movement leader Leonard Peltier, who spent decades in prison. The calendar calls the conviction disputed; it does not offer more legal history.

TYSON — Tuesday, October 13
A four-part documentary series about Mike Tyson is the most straightforward choice for someone seeking a multi-part subject profile. The calendar doesn’t specify episode lengths or provide further details about its approach.
Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald — Friday, October 16
This documentary covers comedian Norm Macdonald’s life and career. Tudum’s promotional description calls him a “master of deadpan humor”; that wording is the calendar’s characterization, not an independent critical assessment.

The Disciple — Friday, October 16
For a music-world story, Tudum describes a true-story path into the Wu-Tang Clan’s inner circle, with an album central to the story. The listing gives that premise but no further account of the documentary’s scope.
Other picks by premise
Returning seasons: The Diplomat, Solar Opposites and Love Is Blind
The calendar lists three returning seasons: The Diplomat Season 4 arrives Thursday, Solar Opposites Season 6 on Tuesday and Love Is Blind Season 11 on Wednesday. Of these, The Diplomat is the political-drama option on the strength of its setup: a US ambassador to the UK juggling diplomatic work and a strained marriage. The other two offer an alien family trying to fit into suburban life and singles getting engaged before meeting face to face, respectively.

For suspense setups: The Storm and Heat
The Storm puts old university friends together at a luxury lodge as bad weather and buried resentments complicate a celebration. Heat pairs a botched heist with a criminal mastermind and the detective on his trail. Those descriptions make both worth considering for viewers drawn to tense premises; they are not quality judgments.
For a darker comic setup: Cocaine Bear
The film’s premise involves a bear consuming discarded illegal narcotics in a national forest. Tudum presents it as a dark-comedy action setup; it should not be mistaken for a claim that the described events happened as shown.
