In the United States, Netflix’s lowest-priced option shown on its official ad-plan page is Standard with ads at $8.99 per month as of August 16, 2026. Netflix does not advertise a general free-account program in its current signup instructions. You can watch Netflix on a phone with a regular membership, but that does not mean a U.S. mobile-only plan exists. Plans vary by country, so check Netflix’s local signup page before paying.
Is there a new Netflix mobile-only plan?
“Mobile plan” can mean a phone-and-tablet-only tier, a cheaper plan with limited screens, ordinary Netflix access on a smartphone, or a subscription benefit from a mobile carrier. Those are different things. Netflix can be watched on smartphones and tablets as well as computers, TVs, and supported streaming devices; mobile access alone does not establish that a separate mobile-only subscription is available. Netflix says kids profiles do not have ads. The plan may suit a price-sensitive viewer who accepts advertising, 1080p, and the ad-supported catalog. It is a poor fit if you need an ad-free experience, rely on an older device, want every licensed title, or need to add an extra member: Netflix does not allow extra members on ad-supported plans. Does Netflix offer free accounts or a free trial?

Netflix’s signup instructions ask new members to choose a plan, create an account, and enter a payment method. Its current signup documentation does not advertise a general-purpose free account or standard free trial. Provider offers and bundles
A mobile, internet, or other provider may include Netflix, subsidize it, or sell it as an add-on. That is a conditional benefit tied to the provider’s service, not a universally free account. A Netflix gift card is prepaid account balance that can be used for a new or existing membership; it is not free access. Netflix accounts are for one household. People outside it need their own account or, where supported, a paid extra-member invitation. How to lower the cost without using a “free account” site
- Consider Standard with ads if the current local price and its advertising and catalog limits work for you.
- Compare provider bundles by total cost. Count the required phone or internet service, not just the advertised Netflix benefit. Confirm the tier, activation steps, any upgrade fee, and cancellation consequences with the provider.
- Use an eligible extra-member option instead of sharing a password if the account owner’s plan and billing arrangement support it. It is not available on ad-supported plans.
- Pay with a gift card if you want prepaid access rather than a conventional recurring payment method. A gift card still has to cover the membership cost.
- Review or cancel your membership online if you no longer want the service. Netflix bills monthly on the date you signed up; it says members can change plans or cancel online. Why “free Netflix account” websites are risky
Websites promising permanent free accounts or “working” premium logins may be collecting passwords or payment details, circulating compromised credentials, selling unauthorized access, or using fake surveys and downloads to harvest data or install malware. A login that works briefly does not prove it is legitimate: the account owner could recover it, a reseller could revoke access, or a phishing page could ask for sensitive information later. Do not buy, trade, publish, or reuse credentials from strangers.

Watch for these warning signs:
- The site is not on a Netflix-owned domain but asks for your Netflix login, payment details, or verification code.
- It promises “lifetime,” “premium,” or “100% working” access.
- It asks you to install an app, browser extension, or “account generator.”
- It requires a survey, social-media share, or credit-card “verification.”
- It displays passwords in plain text or claims to bypass household or payment rules.
Use Netflix’s official signup process instead. If you entered a Netflix password on an untrusted site, change it through Netflix and change it anywhere else you reused it. Do not enter verification codes into a third-party page.

iPhone or iPad
- Open a mobile browser and go to Netflix signup.
- Choose a plan, create an account, and enter a payment method.
- Download the Netflix app and sign in. Netflix’s current help page says app signup is not supported directly in the iOS app and lists iOS/iPadOS 18 or later for signing in through the app.
Before accepting a “free Netflix” offer
Check the offer on Netflix’s or the provider’s official site, then confirm what it actually covers:
- Which exact provider plan qualifies, and is the offer for new customers only?
- Is Netflix included, discounted, or an optional add-on? Which Netflix tier is included?
- Must you activate through a provider link, and will an upgrade add a monthly charge?
- Do taxes or fees apply, and what happens to Netflix if you change or cancel the qualifying service?
- Does the billing arrangement support the household or extra-member setup you need?
- Is the offer available in your country and still current?
