The latest reported update says the manga is set to return in the December 2026 issue of Young Ace, beginning its final part. The issue is expected on sale in November, but no precise chapter date or English release schedule has been established.
Why did the creator apologize?
When the serialization paused, Kanamaru apologized for delaying the story’s continuation. Trinikid reproduced her message as saying: “To everyone who has always supported me, I’m truly sorry for making you wait for the continuation of the story.” This wording is attributed to Kanamaru in that report; the original post was not independently verified.
In the explanation reproduced alongside the apology, Kanamaru said she was healthy and wanted each monthly installment to feel like part of one larger narrative: “I myself am doing well and staying healthy. This decision comes from my renewed desire to cherish the fact that each monthly story becomes part of one, grand narrative.” The statement framed the pause as a creative decision, not an announcement that she was ill.
When did the hiatus begin?
A notice attributed to Kadokawa Shoten and Young Ace said the manga would pause starting with the magazine’s May 2025 issue, dated for release April 4. The notice apologized to readers waiting for the serialization to continue. Trinikid reproduced both the publisher’s notice and Kanamaru’s message: Trinikid’s report on the hiatus.

When is the manga coming back?
Anime Dispatch reported on October 2, 2026, that Kanamaru had announced a return in the December 2026 issue of Kadokawa’s Young Ace, expected on sale in November. The report says the returning serialization will begin the manga’s final part. The original social post and an official magazine listing were not directly inspected, so these details should be understood as reported rather than independently confirmed: Anime Dispatch’s return report.
The issue announcement does not establish an exact chapter publication date, and it does not provide an English-language release schedule. A Japanese magazine issue date should not be treated as a confirmed date for an English edition.

How to read the manga in English
UDON publishes an official English-language print edition. Its announcement describes English Volume 1 as a two-in-one edition containing the contents of Japanese Volumes 1 and 2. The announcement establishes the edition’s format, but not current stock or price: UDON’s English edition announcement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the anime adaptation affect the manga update?
No. The reported return concerns the manga’s serialization, not a new anime season. Anime Dispatch says the anime adaptation premiered in October 2022, streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan, and received an English dub. That is historical context; current streaming availability depends on region and was not verified.
