Missing You is the 2012 South Korean MBC drama about childhood friends Han Jung-woo and Lee Soo-yeon, separated by tragedy and reunited 14 years later. Park Yu-cheon plays Jung-woo, Yoon Eun-hye plays Soo-yeon, Yoo Seung-ho plays Kang Hyung-joon, and Jang Mi-inae plays Kim Eun-joo. The series is also called I Miss You in some territories.
Which Missing You is this?
This guide covers the South Korean melodrama Missing You (보고 싶다), produced by MBC. Apple TV and Netflix list its release year as 2012, while MBC Global Media’s catalog labels the program year 2013. MBC’s page also credits Lee Jae-dong and Park Jae-beom as directors and Moon Hee-jung as writer. The English alternate title I Miss You appears in the regional distributor Contents Seven’s listing. Catalog pages may use different romanizations and character aliases. The spellings below follow MBC’s English-language character descriptions where available; alternate names are noted when another catalog identifies them.
What is the story behind the characters?
Jung-woo and Soo-yeon are school friends whose separation after a tragedy shapes their lives. Fourteen years later, Jung-woo, now a detective, is searching for Soo-yeon. She has built a life as a fashion designer under the name Zoe and is with Kang Hyung-joon. Kim Eun-joo, meanwhile, has feelings for Jung-woo. The reunion brings the characters’ past relationships into conflict with their adult lives. Apple TV describes the 14-year separation and reunion; MBC’s synopsis centers on a long-lost sweetheart and the heartache of romance.

Who are the principal cast members?
| Actor | Character | Role and relationship |
|---|---|---|
| Park Yu-cheon (also styled Park Yoo-chun) | Han Jung-woo | Soo-yeon’s childhood friend and first love. As an adult, he is a violent-crimes detective nicknamed “Mad Rabbit” who searches for her. |
| Yoon Eun-hye | Lee Soo-yeon / Zoe | Jung-woo’s childhood friend and first love; as an adult she works as a fashion designer under the name Zoe and is Hyung-joon’s partner. |
| Yoo Seung-ho | Kang Hyung-joon / Harry Borrison | Zoe’s partner and a personal asset manager. MBC says he walks with a cane after a childhood dog-bite injury; Apple TV lists Harry Borrison as an alternate name. |
| Jang Mi-inae | Kim Eun-joo | A webtoon artist with unrequited feelings for Jung-woo. Apple TV also romanizes her name as Kim Eun Joo. |
MBC’s English character profiles identify the four principal roles. The broadcaster uses “Zoe” for Soo-yeon’s adult identity; the Japanese-language Contents Seven listing uses “Joy Lou.” These are catalog naming differences, not spellings to silently combine.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How do the cast listings differ?
MBC is the primary source for its four principal character profiles. Apple TV provides a useful English-language actor-to-role map and lists the alternate name Harry Borrison. Contents Seven supplies further alias spellings in its Japanese listing. Romanized Korean names can vary between catalogs, so retain the spelling used by the particular source when quoting a listing rather than treating every variant as universally fixed.
