Who won Million Dollar Secret?
Cara Kies, an In-N-Out cook, was the inaugural winner of Netflix’s competition series. This recap covers Season 1; Netflix Tudum’s current series page lists two seasons, so Cara’s win should not be confused with a later-season result. Netflix Tudum identifies Kies as the show’s first winner.
How Cara won the final box decision
The final three were Corey Niles, Sam Hubbard and Cara. The finale’s closing decision centered on the contents of their boxes, which could be moved between players.
- Before the final swaps, Cara’s box held the prize.
- Corey went first and swapped his box’s contents with Cara’s.
- Cara then chose whether to swap back or keep the contents Corey had taken from her box. She chose Corey’s box contents.
That choice gave Cara the prize and secured her $1 million win. TV Guide’s finale recap describes the sequence.

Why the box swap mattered
Million Dollar Secret begins with one player secretly holding a million dollars. That player must avoid discovery and elimination while the others try to work out who has the money. The final box decision gave Cara one last choice after Corey’s move—and her decision to take his box contents was the winning one. Netflix’s official series page describes the show’s hidden-millionaire premise and lists the series as streaming on Netflix; availability can vary by region.
In an April 9, 2025 interview with Netflix Tudum, Cara reflected: “I stayed true to myself during a game that was this intense.”
