Why swimming and water safety are part of the family story
Swimming naturally features in public discussions of the Phelps family because Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympic swimmer in history and founded the Michael Phelps Foundation in 2008. The foundation says its work focuses on water safety, mental wellness, healthy living, and confidence-building for young people.

Water-safety reminders for families
