Its cel-shaded spectacle, arsenal and fourth-wall-breaking humor make it an appealing fit for fans of Deadpool and arcade combat, but post-release coverage also reports weightless melee, finicky parries and late-game performance issues. It is available now and sold separately from the headset.
What is Marvel’s Deadpool VR?
Developed by Twisted Pixel, Marvel’s Deadpool VR puts players in the masked mercenary’s perspective. The premise sends Deadpool to Mojoworld, where the flamboyant producer Mojo assigns him to capture Marvel villains for a galaxy-wide show. The targets include Lady Deathstrike, Omega Red, Mephisto and Ultimo. Neil Patrick Harris voices Deadpool, according to Meta’s store listing.
The game is an arcade-style action adventure built around melee, firearms, explosives and parkour, with Deadpool’s jokes and fourth-wall breaks woven into the action. Twisted Pixel describes it as a fast-paced first-person game made exclusively for Quest 3 and Quest 3S; see the developer’s game page.
How does the combat and swordplay feel?
The arsenal includes twin katanas, pistols, grenades and a gravity gun, as well as special attacks and weapon variants, according to UploadVR’s review of the released game. The release announcement also describes a special meter that enables temporary “Mojo-fied” weapons, including a hammer called Mojo-nir and explosive Cajun cards (UploadVR’s report on the announcement).

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That variety supports the game’s comic-book spectacle, but the physical feel of the fighting is less convincing in the post-release review. UploadVR reports that melee can feel weightless, hands and weapons can clip, and parries can be inconsistent. It also describes repeated enemy-wave sequences and performance degradation in some late-game scenes. These are that reviewer’s findings, not guarantees of every player’s experience.
Early demos offered a more limited preview. In June 2025, Road to VR praised the art style and characterization while noting inconsistent sword interactions in an early build; the developers acknowledged that melee still needed polish (Road to VR’s preview). Those demo impressions should not be treated as proof of how the released version performs. The more relevant assessment is the post-release review above.

Is Deadpool VR comfortable to play?
UploadVR’s reviewer describes stick-based movement and parkour, with snap turning and vignette options, but no teleport locomotion. That combination may be challenging for players who are susceptible to VR motion sickness. Check the current in-game comfort settings and take breaks if movement feels uncomfortable; a vignette or snap turning may help, but neither makes an intense VR game comfortable for everyone.
Content is another consideration: Meta’s store listing assigns the game an ESRB Mature 17+ rating and lists intense violence, blood and gore, sexual themes, strong language and mature humor. It is not a mild or family-friendly superhero adventure.

Which headset do you need?
Meta and Twisted Pixel list Quest 3 and Quest 3S as supported headsets. The game is a separate purchase, not bundled with the headset. Both models are listed as compatible; the available information does not establish that one delivers a better Deadpool VR experience, so choose based on your existing headset and current purchase considerations rather than an unsupported performance comparison.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Marvel’s Deadpool VR worth playing?
It is most likely to suit players who want Deadpool’s crude humor, comic-book villains and fast, flashy action in VR. The spectacle and weapon variety are strong draws, while the reported lack of weight in melee and inconsistent parries may disappoint anyone looking for grounded swordplay. Its mature content and movement style also make it a poor fit for some players.
