Maripily Rivera se sometió a un cambio de implantes mamarios y una reducción de senos el 15 de octubre de 2025 en San Juan. Su cirujano, Carlos Portocarrero, describió el procedimiento como una mastopexia —un levantamiento de senos— junto con el reemplazo de los implantes.
Qué procedimiento se hizo Maripily Rivera
La intervención combinó un levantamiento de senos con el cambio de implantes por otros de menor volumen, según la cobertura de la operación y la descripción atribuida a su cirujano. Rivera había llevado sus implantes anteriores durante 16 años, según reportes de El Nuevo Día y Primera Hora de 2025.
La operación tuvo lugar en San Juan y estuvo a cargo del cirujano plástico Carlos Portocarrero. Después, el publicista de Rivera, Carlos Bermúdez, informó a Primera Hora que ella había salido bien de la operación y se encontraba en recuperación.
Por qué decidió reducir el tamaño
Rivera explicó que había bajado de peso y sentía dolor de espalda, y dijo que quería implantes más pequeños. Presentó la decisión principalmente como una cuestión de salud, no de vanidad. En una entrevista citada por El Diario NY en 2025, indicó que el cambio fue de 800 cc a 650 cc; esa cifra corresponde únicamente a su caso.
