When did Magnolia Table start serving dinner?
Magnolia announced the addition on September 12, 2024, and began dinner service on September 20. It was the first dinner service at the Waco flagship, which had previously served brunch and lunch. In the announcement, Magnolia described a menu of nearly 30 dishes inspired by Joanna Gaines’s first three cookbooks, with shareables, main courses and desserts. Do you need a reservation?
No. Magnolia accepts walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, but recommends reservations to help reduce waiting. Reservations through OpenTable are available for parties of up to six. Magnolia says it does not offer call-ahead seating. For larger groups, seating may be limited or the party may be seated separately during busy periods. Consult Magnolia’s FAQ for current booking guidance.
Dietary options and allergy information
Magnolia says the menu includes gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. However, the restaurant is not a nut-free or gluten-free facility. Guests with allergies should tell their server; the availability of dietary options should not be taken as a guarantee that a dish or the restaurant is free from cross-contact.

The building previously housed the Elite Cafe, which opened in 1919. Magnolia says Chip and Joanna Gaines bought the building in 2017, renovated it and reopened it as Magnolia Table in 2018. Dinner service expanded the restaurant’s offering several years later.
