Lucy Banks said her eldest son was 10 when he asked whether she had an OnlyFans account, after another person told him about her work. In a report published by PerthNow on 25 September 2025, Banks said she had wanted to explain her adult-content career herself when her children were old enough to understand, while shielding them from material she considered inappropriate for their age.
How Banks says her son found out
PerthNow reported that Banks’s eldest son asked her directly about OnlyFans after someone else told him. The article relayed an interview with news.com.au; the original interview was not independently available for verification. PerthNow quoted Banks as saying: “My son was 10 at the time, and he just asked me straight out: ‘Mum, do you do OnlyFans?’”
She said she had tried to keep her children shielded from adult material and had intended to talk about her work when they were old enough to understand. “Somebody told him. I was so careful to make sure that they were shielded from everything,” PerthNow quoted her as saying.
What Banks said about the conversation
According to the report, her son was calm about the disclosure. Banks said she did not discuss subscription pricing with him. PerthNow quoted her describing his reaction: “It wasn’t fair that somebody else told him, but he was so cool about it. I had a conversation with him and he’s like, ‘it’s fine, people do worse things for money’.”

How adult-content work fit into Banks’s career
PerthNow reported that Banks moved from corporate banking into adult-content work in 2019, after a divorce. The article attributed the decision in part to her desire for flexibility and financial stability for her family.

The same report said Banks had earned more than A$1.5 million over four years on OnlyFans. That is a personal earnings figure attributed to Banks in the reporting, not an audited total or a measure of typical creator income.
What was reported about her work in 2025
As of PerthNow’s 25 September 2025 report, Banks had stepped back from OnlyFans and remained in adult entertainment, working in public relations and marketing. The article does not establish her work status after that date.

PerthNow also recounted Banks’s account of receiving a threatening message from an anonymous subscriber and contacting Western Australia police. According to that second-hand account, an officer told her complaints had been made to the Department of Child Protection and that she was not under suspicion. These details are reported as Banks’s account; they are not independently confirmed police or department records.
