Bri McNees said her conversation with Connor Spies after the Love Is Blind mixer was about Mike Gibney—not Chris Fusco. That account is separate from Netflix’s reunion recap, which says Connor did not know Bri and Chris had spoken at the bar and that Chris later apologized to Connor.
What Bri said her conversation with Connor was about
In a Feb. 14, 2026, interview with Parade, Bri said her conversation with Connor after the mixer concerned Mike, not Chris. She explained that she and Mike had left an unfinished conversation in the pods: “And Mike and I actually didn’t get a closure moment in the pods of like a breakup.”
Bri said Mike later approached her by the pool to ask what had happened between them. She described their eventual decision as remaining friends and said they were both happy with the partners they chose. This is Bri’s retrospective account of the conversation; it does not independently establish what the show’s edit included or what viewers were meant to infer.
What Netflix’s reunion recap says about Chris and Connor
Netflix’s March 13, 2026, reunion recap describes a different exchange: Bri and Chris spoke at the bar during the mixer while Connor was unaware. The recap reports Connor said he trusted Bri at the time: “Bri’s a grown woman and can do whatever she wants at the bar, I trust her.” He also said he felt Chris had broken his trust.

At the reunion, Chris apologized to Connor for disrespecting him and putting Bri in an uncomfortable position. Why the two accounts are easy to mix up
| Account | Conversation | What the source reports |
|---|---|---|
| Bri’s interview with Parade, Feb. 14, 2026 | Bri and Connor after the mixer; Bri said the subject was Mike | Bri said Mike had approached her by the pool because they had not clearly ended things in the pods, and that they decided to remain friends. |
| Netflix’s reunion recap, Mar. 13, 2026 | Bri and Chris at the bar during the mixer | Netflix said Connor was unaware of that conversation and reported Chris’s apology to Connor at the reunion. |
The accounts concern different conversations and come from different sources. They clarify the distinction without establishing exactly what the episode’s edit omitted.

The wedding context and their status at the reunion
The mixer story unfolded against the backdrop of Bri and Connor’s wedding decision. In a Feb. 25, 2026, Netflix interview, the couple said they called off their wedding 48 hours before the planned date. Bri said she did not feel ready to commit: “I wanted to trust the process, but I kept waiting for this shift in my heart that never came.” Connor said he would have said yes, but did not want to take her to the altar if they were not both fully ready: “I’m not going to drag you to the altar saying no.”
Netflix’s March 13 reunion recap said Bri and Connor were still together after calling off the wedding and were living next door to each other in Columbus at the time. That is a dated update from the reunion, not confirmation of their relationship status today.
