Choose FFmpeg on a VPS if you want to control the streaming process and are prepared to maintain a server; choose Livepush if you prefer a hosted workflow for queued videos and 24/7 scheduling. For a simpler cloud-run YouTube loop, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it keeps uploaded videos live from the cloud at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with the first day free.
None of these routes guarantees uninterrupted uptime. The right choice depends on your budget, video workflow, output needs, destination count, and willingness to handle failures.
At a glance
| Option | Where the loop runs | Who handles operations | Best fit |

| StreamNeo | In StreamNeo’s cloud, using uploaded videos or playlists. | StreamNeo runs the loop; you provide the video and YouTube stream key. | A YouTube-only cloud loop without a computer or VPS running at home. Any quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot; first day free. |
| FFmpeg on a VPS | On a rented server reading a media file. | You maintain the VPS, FFmpeg process, network path, and restart and recovery behavior. | People who want direct control and can operate a server. |
| Livepush | In Livepush’s hosted prerecorded workflow or 24/7 schedule channel. | Livepush operates the hosted workflow; you configure the channel, YouTube destination, and suitable plan. | People who want hosted video scheduling and may need configured destinations beyond YouTube. |

What each option actually does
FFmpeg on a VPS: you run the loop
FFmpeg can repeat an input indefinitely with its -stream_loop -1 option and write to a network output URL. That establishes a software capability, not a guarantee of a continuously available broadcast. The VPS, process supervision, network connection, and recovery plan remain yours to manage. See the FFmpeg documentation.
Livepush: hosted scheduling and relay
Livepush documents a 24/7 schedule channel that queues videos and loops them. Its relay workflow can receive an encoder stream and forward it to configured destinations; its help documentation also describes a prerecorded MP4 option. This reduces the need to operate FFmpeg on your own VPS, but makes the workflow dependent on Livepush’s service, plan limits, and setup.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
StreamNeo: uploaded videos played from the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded recordings or playlists. Add your YouTube stream key once and start the stream; the cloud handles looping, and automatic recovery is available if YouTube drops the stream. It does not stream a camera feed or destinations other than YouTube.
How to choose
Choose FFmpeg on a VPS when control is worth the maintenance
- You want to manage the input, encoding choices, and process yourself.
- You can monitor the VPS, keep the software and server maintained, and respond to disconnections.
- You have checked the media’s codecs, timestamps, and container compatibility rather than assuming stream copy will work.
Choose Livepush when hosted scheduling fits your workflow
- You want a hosted queue or schedule channel to play and loop prerecorded videos.
- You need forwarding to configured destinations; check destination limits and current plan features for your account.
- You are comfortable relying on a vendor’s service and verifying its current plan terms.
Consider StreamNeo for a straightforward YouTube loop
If your goal is uploaded video playing continuously on YouTube, without keeping a home computer or self-managed VPS running, StreamNeo is the first option to try. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. The same product is included on every plan; only the billing length changes.
Livepush pricing and plan details
Livepush’s help article identifies Creators as its least expensive plan for 24/7 social streaming and lists $39 monthly or $32.50 per month on annual billing, as checked in 2026. Treat these as dated listed prices, not a lasting offer: verify the current price and feature matrix before subscribing. Livepush distinguishes its entry paid streaming-hours plan from an actual 24/7 schedule channel, so unlimited monthly hours alone should not be taken to mean that a continuous schedule channel is included.

The exact FFmpeg command depends on your input file and whether you need to encode or can safely copy the existing streams. Inspect the input first and test the output format: FFmpeg documentation warns that stream copy can fail when the input streams do not satisfy the target container’s requirements. Do not treat a generic command as universally safe.
Match YouTube’s ingest guidance
YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends RTMP or RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval that should not exceed four seconds. The recommended bitrate varies with codec, resolution, and frame rate. For H.264, YouTube currently lists 10 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 14 Mbps for 1080p at 60 fps. Check the current YouTube encoder settings guidance for your output before configuring the stream.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.

- Use the stream key and ingest URL from the YouTube Live Control Room; keep the key private.
- Choose an output resolution and frame rate that your source and server can sustain.
- If encoding, ensure the VPS has enough processing capacity for the chosen codec and output settings.
- If stream-copying, test the complete loop and output container. A file that plays locally is not automatically compatible with every network stream setup.
- Set up supervision and alerts so you can detect a stalled process, disconnected server, or failed upload rather than assuming the loop will recover by itself.
What a VPS budget must include
No VPS provider or price is established here, so a fair cost comparison requires your own region-specific quote. Include more than the server’s monthly rental:
- Compute and memory appropriate to the chosen workflow, especially if FFmpeg must encode rather than copy streams.
- Outbound bandwidth or egress charges for a continuous upload, plus any provider transfer cap.
- Storage for the source media and any working files.
- Your time for installation, updates, monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery.
- Any additional architecture needed for multiple destinations; a recommended FFmpeg multi-output configuration is not established here.
Compare that total with a hosted plan that actually includes the 24/7 workflow and destination count you need. There is no universal cost winner without the server region, stream quality, number of channels, and operational requirements.

Plan for interruptions with either route
A prerecorded source can be sound while the broadcast still stops because of a process failure, VPS or network problem, platform interruption, or hosted-service issue. FFmpeg on a VPS leaves process supervision and restart behavior to you. Livepush and StreamNeo offer hosted workflows, but the available feature descriptions do not establish comparative uptime or failure rates. No independent uptime comparison for these exact setups is established.

Check the destination workflow before committing
Livepush documents forwarding to configured destinations and plan-dependent destination limits. For its manual YouTube connection method, the help article says the destination must be set up for each event if the channel is not linked; YouTube comments are not visible in its multi-chat overlay for that method. These caveats apply to that documented manual workflow, not necessarily every connection method.
Do not rely on one all-day replay
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not mean an around-the-clock stream will produce one complete replay that remains available indefinitely. If a replay matters, plan separately for how the content will be recorded and made available. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Livepush streaming-hours plan automatically include a 24/7 schedule channel?
No. Livepush distinguishes the entry paid streaming-hours plan from its 24/7 schedule channel; check the current plan matrix for what your account includes.
Will YouTube save one complete replay of an all-day broadcast?
Not necessarily. YouTube’s automatic-archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours, so an around-the-clock broadcast should not be assumed to create one complete replay.
