Art Moore retired from his work on Live with Kelly and Mark in September 2024. The show celebrated his final day on September 20, 2024; his appearance as a special guest in February 2026 was for a Kelly Ripa anniversary episode, not an announced return to his former job.
When did Art Moore leave Live with Kelly and Mark?

At the time of the announcement, Moore was WABC-TV’s vice president of programming and executive in charge of production for Live. TVLine’s May 2024 report and The Hollywood Reporter’s report, republished by Yahoo, covered his planned departure.
Why did Art Moore appear on the show again in 2026?
Moore was listed as a special guest for the February 20, 2026 episode celebrating Kelly Ripa’s 25th anniversary as a co-host. The official episode guide identifies him among the guests. ABC7 Los Angeles described him as a “now-retired executive” in its coverage of the anniversary episode. A guest visit does not establish that he resumed his former production role.

The October 29, 2024 appointment announcement establishes the succession for the programming role; it does not specify a wholesale change to every production responsibility on Live.
