The LEGO WALL•E set announced for September was LEGO Ideas 21303, released on September 1, 2015—not a newly announced September 2026 set. LEGO now lists a separate WALL-E and EVE set, 43279, as available in the US. The distinction matters: 21303 is a retired, WALL-E-only model, while 43279 builds both characters.
When did the LEGO WALL•E set come out?
LEGO Ideas announced set 21303 for release on September 1, 2015. LEGO’s launch announcement listed historical recommended prices of US $59.99 and EUR 49.99; those are launch prices, not current prices. LEGO Ideas’ 2015 announcement describes the set’s origin and launch.
What is the difference between LEGO WALL•E 21303 and 43279?
They are different sets, not two names for the same release. LEGO’s UK page identifies 21303 as a retired product; LEGO’s US page lists 43279 as available now at the time checked. The pages are for different regions, so their listed prices are not a like-for-like comparison. Availability and pricing can change.

What does the retired 21303 set include?
The 676-piece, age-12+ model has a posable neck, adjustable head, arms that move up, down and side to side, gripping hands, rolling tracks and an opening trunk. LEGO also includes a last-plant-on-Earth element and a booklet about the designer and the Pixar movie. LEGO gives the model’s dimensions as over 18 cm high, 16 cm long and 16 cm wide. These specifications are on the LEGO UK product page.
Who designed the official LEGO WALL•E?
The original model was created by Angus MacLane, whom LEGO identifies as a Pixar animator and director. LEGO says Ideas members selected the design; for the official set, MacLane collaborated with LEGO designer Steen Sig Andersen and WALL-E director Andrew Stanton, according to the launch announcement.

Was there a head-mechanism revision?
Yes. In an October 19, 2015 availability update, the LEGO Ideas Team said some fans felt WALL•E’s head moved too freely and that LEGO designers were working on small changes. That is a historical account of a revision; it does not establish that every 21303 set has a defect. Read the LEGO Ideas update.
