The LEGO Group officially revealed its Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith set on May 12, 2026, so the earlier leak is no longer the latest word. Set 11377 is an 8,278-piece adult display model that pairs a miniature-scale view of the city with character-scale interiors. LEGO announced prices of £579.99, €649.99, and $649.99, with release beginning in June 2026.
What LEGO confirmed about Minas Tirith (11377)
LEGO describes the model as a hybrid-scale build: the city is represented as a microscale cityscape, while selected interior spaces are built at minifigure scale. The design lets the exterior convey the breadth of Minas Tirith and gives the interiors room for character-focused scenes, including the citadel’s throne room.
- Piece count: 8,278.
- Age rating: 18+; LEGO presents it as an adult display model.
- Minifigures: 10, including Gandalf the White, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, and four Soldiers of Gondor.
- Additional figure: Shadowfax, listed separately from the 10 minifigures.
- Dimensions: over 23.5 in. (59 cm) high, 24.5 in. (62 cm) wide, and 14.5 in. (37 cm) deep.
These are LEGO’s published specifications, not independent measurements or a third-party assessment.
How the microscale city and minifigure interiors work together
The scale shift is the central design choice. From the outside, the model represents the city as a whole; inside, minifigure-scale rooms create more intimate story settings. LEGO’s announcement confirms the throne room as one such space. Brick Fanatics’ reveal report additionally describes a removable throne, a bedroom and office overlooking the throne room, and a market area at the front. Those details come from the report rather than LEGO’s announcement.

GamesRadar+ discusses the design as a form of forced perspective: the compact representation of the city and the larger character-scale areas serve different viewing and play purposes. That is a way to understand the set’s design, not a performance comparison with other models.
