UPI described Estes as a former college football player who played for Montana State University and Montana Tech. That report does not establish a current occupation or a broader professional career for him.
What was reported about their ages
At the time of the announcement, UPI reported Cavallari’s age as 37 and Estes’s as 24. ABC News characterized the difference as 13 years. Those are the reported ages of the two people in this story, not a statistic about relationships generally.

How Cavallari answered criticism of the age gap
After the post attracted attention, Cavallari addressed the reaction in a social-video caption reproduced by ABC News: “When they’re all up in arms that im dating a 24 year old,” followed by “Andddd?” The response signaled that she was aware of the criticism and was not presenting the age difference as a secret.
How they reportedly met
Entertainment Tonight reported in March 2024 that Cavallari said she first encountered Estes through social media. In the same account, she described February 13 as their first date. These details come from Cavallari’s own reported account of the relationship’s early timeline.

Access Hollywood reported on October 1, 2024, that Cavallari announced the breakup on an episode of her podcast. The outlet summarized her explanation as involving their age difference and being in different stages of life, while also reporting that she spoke positively about the relationship.
That October report is the latest status information available in the coverage used here. It supports describing the romance as a past 2024 relationship, not as Cavallari’s current partnership or as evidence of her relationship status after October 2024.
