Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker named their son Rocky Thirteen Barker. They shared the first photos of him on December 22, 2023, in an Instagram slideshow captioned “ROCKY 🖤.” The pictures offered a family glimpse but did not clearly show the baby’s face. The name had been reported publicly before the photos appeared.
What is Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s son’s name?
His reported full name is Rocky Thirteen Barker. The Los Angeles Times reported the name on November 1, 2023, citing a birth certificate obtained by The Blast.
When did they share his first photos?
Kardashian and Barker posted their first shared photos of their son on December 22, 2023, about seven weeks after his reported birth. The Instagram slideshow was captioned “ROCKY 🖤.” Glamour and the Hindustan Times described the images as intimate family moments; the baby’s face remained largely out of view.
How the announcement unfolded
- June 16, 2023: Kardashian announced her pregnancy at a Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles, holding a sign that read “Travis I’m pregnant,” referencing the band’s “All the Small Things” video.
- November 1, 2023: The Los Angeles Times reported that the baby had been born that day and gave his full name, citing the birth certificate. The paper said the birth took place at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
- December 22, 2023: The couple shared the first photos in an Instagram slideshow captioned “ROCKY 🖤.”
Why did they choose the name Rocky Thirteen?
The Los Angeles Times reported that Barker had said “Rocky” was inspired by Rocky George, guitarist for Suicidal Tendencies. Barker also described 13 as “the greatest number of all time.” That is his stated explanation for the name, rather than an independently established meaning.
