In its May 20, 2026 announcement, Warhorse Studios confirmed two projects: “An open world Middle-earth RPG” and “A new Kingdom Come adventure.” The studio added, “We’re excited to tell you more when the time is right.” The announcement does not name either project, provide a release date or platform list, or give further details about the new Kingdom Come adventure. What kind of game is Kingdom Come: Deliverance II?
The publisher describes KCD II as an action RPG set during a medieval civil war, following Henry from a blacksmith’s forge toward the court of kings. Its overview highlights open-world medieval settings, real-time combat, and role-playing systems in which Henry’s abilities develop through use, learning, and quests. Combat includes swords, bows, crossbows, and primitive firearms, with weapon maintenance as part of play. These are the publisher’s descriptions of the game, not independent performance assessments.
