On April 23, 2024, People reported that an unnamed source characterized Kim Kardashian as “over it” and said she thought Taylor Swift should “move on.” Those were the source’s words—not a direct, on-record statement from Kardashian. The report followed renewed discussion of their years-old dispute after Swift released The Tortured Poets Department.
What did Kim Kardashian reportedly say about Taylor Swift?
Kardashian did not make the quoted remarks in a public interview. People, in a report published April 23, 2024, quoted an unnamed source: “She’s over it and thinks Taylor should move on.” The same source said, “Kim doesn’t get why [Swift] keeps harping on it. It’s been literally years.” Yahoo Entertainment’s syndicated version of the report carried the account.

Why did the feud return to attention in 2024?
Swift released The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, 2024. Attention turned to the track “thanK you aIMee,” whose capitalized letters spell KIM. Fans and media outlets speculated that the song referred to Kardashian, bringing the older dispute back into coverage. The title and speculation do not confirm who the song is about.

Bustle’s April 24, 2024 account connected the song’s release and fan interpretation to the renewed discussion. Neither that interpretation nor the anonymous-source comments amount to a direct confirmation from Kardashian or Swift about the song’s subject.
What was the original dispute about?
The widely reported flashpoint was Kanye West’s 2016 song “Famous,” which included a lyric about Swift. The disagreement concerned what Swift had been told about the lyric and whether she had approved it. A statement from Swift’s spokesperson, reproduced by Bustle, said: “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account,” and added, “Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric.” These are the spokesperson’s claims, not a statement by Swift herself.

Kardashian shared an edited video of a phone call between West and Swift. A fuller version of the call leaked in 2020, according to Bustle’s retrospective. In Swift’s 2023 TIME Person of the Year profile, she described her view of the episode as “a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar.” Bustle also reported Swift saying the fallout “took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.” Those are Swift’s attributed recollections and characterizations; they are distinct from the anonymous source’s account of Kardashian’s 2024 outlook.
Is “thanK you aIMee” confirmed to be about Kim Kardashian?
No confirmation is established in these reports. The capital letters in the title spell KIM, and fans interpreted that as a clue, but the identification remains speculation. It is more accurate to describe the song as widely speculated to refer to Kardashian than to state that it definitively does.

What can be said about the feud now?
The available reports establish what an unnamed source told People in April 2024 and how the dispute was discussed around Swift’s album release. They do not establish whether Kardashian or Swift has changed, reaffirmed, or publicly clarified her position since then. The “over it” framing should therefore be treated as a dated report, not a statement of either person’s current view.
