Her work and family
Powers’s career connected clinical medicine with television commentary. The Daily Beast also reported that she once described experiencing heart failure while appearing live on Fox Business during a report about heart health. In an interview with Preferred Health Magazine, she recalled: “It’s crazy–I went into heart failure while doing a report on Fox Business–live–on heart health and talking about the subtle signs that women often miss. You can’t make this up.” The account is Powers’s recollection as reported by The Daily Beast, not a clinical account of the event.

Glioblastoma is a fast-growing glioma that arises from glial cells, according to the Associated Press’s general medical reporting. That background describes the disease, not Powers’s individual case. The AP quoted neuro-oncologist Dr. Yasmeen Rauf of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill discussing glioblastoma generally; her remarks were not about Powers.
