Marvel’s official Agatha All Along trailer, released August 9, 2024, sets up Kathryn Hahn’s return as Agatha Harkness: powerless after escaping a distorted spell, she is asked by a mysterious goth Teen to join a perilous journey down the Witches’ Road. Disney announced the series as a live-action Marvel Television show, with a two-episode premiere scheduled for September 18, 2024, exclusively on Disney+.
What happens in the official trailer?
Agatha Harkness is not introduced as a new character: Kathryn Hahn played her in WandaVision. The new series begins after Agatha is freed from a distorted spell and finds herself “down and out of power.” A mysterious goth Teen asks her to accompany him to the legendary Witches’ Road.
Disney describes the Road as a magical gauntlet of trials. A witch who survives is promised what she is missing. Agatha and the Teen gather a coven to attempt the journey. That is the trailer’s central premise; the setup does not establish what happens in later episodes.
When did the trailer come out?
The official Marvel Entertainment trailer was published August 9, 2024. Disney said the trailer and poster debuted at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Watch Marvel’s official Agatha All Along trailer.

What tone does the show aim for?
In a Disney feature published September 17, 2024, Schaeffer described Agatha All Along as a “puzzle-box show” and said it leans into horror. She framed it as a departure from the sitcom pastiche associated with WandaVision, rather than a continuation of that series’ genre approach. Those are the showrunner’s descriptions of the creative direction, not a guarantee that every viewer will experience the tone in the same way. What is the Ballad of the Witches’ Road?
At D23, cast members performed a Sacred Chant version of “The Ballad of the Witches Road.” Disney’s event announcement names Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The announcement establishes the song’s place in the D23 presentation; it does not confirm a physical soundtrack release. D23’s report on the trailer debut.
