What People reported in 2011
People published the headline “Katharine Ross: Daughter Attacked Me with Scissors” on March 11, 2011, in a story credited to Howard Breuer. A secondary biography of Ross summarizes the report as saying she filed for a restraining order after an alleged attack by her daughter, whom that biography identifies as Cleo Rose Elliott.
The original People article could not be retrieved, so the headline and the secondary biography’s brief account are the limits of what can be responsibly stated here. Detailed descriptions of the alleged incident, direct quotations, and specific court-procedure claims are not established by the accessible material.
What is—and is not—established
- The available account describes an allegation and a reported request for a restraining order; it does not establish that a court made a finding about the alleged attack.
- It does not establish whether an order was granted, denied, or otherwise resolved.
- It does not provide a directly attributable response from Elliott.
The account traces these points to the secondary biography’s summary and reference to People, not to an accessible court record. They should therefore be understood as reporting about an allegation, not as verified legal findings.
