En una entrevista con Luis Sandoval para Despierta América, la actriz describió el vértigo como una experiencia incapacitante. People en Español publicó su relato el 5 de marzo de 2024 y le atribuyó esta frase: “Es horrible, es de verdad una condición muy tremenda, que no le deseo a nadie y que no hay una cura necesariamente”.
Del Castillo dijo que la intensidad de ese episodio le impidió acudir al trabajo y que tuvo que detenerse y cancelar. También comparó la crisis con un episodio anterior, ocurrido tres años antes, que había sido más leve.
Cómo describió los días más difíciles
La actriz contó que, cuando los síntomas eran más fuertes, se quedaba en cama y gateaba para llegar al baño. Para caminar, necesitaba sujetarse de objetos o apoyarse en otra persona porque temía caerse. En la misma entrevista, dijo que todavía no se le había quitado por completo el vértigo y que tenía tinnitus en ambos oídos.
