Which Michael Jackson gymnastics routine is this?
The clip most often meant by “Michael Jackson gymnastics floor routine” is Ohashi’s 2018 Pac-12 Championships performance. She was competing for UCLA, and the routine’s music and choreography included Michael Jackson references, including a moonwalk. The Los Angeles Times reported in 2021 that the performance scored 9.95 and had accumulated more than 90 million views across social platforms by then. That is a historical combined-view figure, not a current count or an independently audited total.
The Washington Post had reported more than four million YouTube views by January 14, 2019. That earlier figure covered YouTube at the time of that report, while the later Los Angeles Times figure combined views across platforms; the two totals describe different dates and measures.
How the 2018 routine differs from Ohashi’s 2019 performance

The 2019 Collegiate Challenge performance is a separate routine, not the 2018 Pac-12 clip. Its perfect 10 should not be attributed to the Michael Jackson-themed 2018 performance. The reports cited here do not provide a detailed skill-by-skill comparison between the routines.

UCLA coach Valorie Kondos Field’s assessment, quoted by The Washington Post through the Daily Bruin, was: “Her whole floor routine is ridiculously hard.” The attribution matters: the line was reported through the Daily Bruin, not presented as a direct Washington Post interview.

Results labeled Collegiate Challenge or dated 2019 refer to the distinct medley performance.
