What did Kate Gosselin say she does for work?
In an August 15, 2025 report, Us Weekly said Gosselin described her role in a TikTok video as pediatric home-health nursing. She said she worked with one family, providing medical care as well as help with bathing, feeding and dressing. She characterized her hours as ranging from part-time to full-time.
Gosselin said balancing the schedule had been difficult when she worked with two families. Her description concerns the arrangement she discussed in 2025; it is not independent confirmation of her current employment.
Were her nursing shifts 12 hours?
Fox News reported on August 15, 2025 that a TikTok workday recap described a 12-hour day involving medical care and caregiving. That establishes the length of the day she discussed, not that every shift lasted 12 hours.

What did she say happened to her show income?
Asked what happened to the income from the show, Gosselin responded, as quoted by Us Weekly: “Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS.” She also said she might have had more saved for her children and retirement without legal expenses.
Those remarks are Gosselin’s explanation of her finances. The entertainment reports do not provide records establishing her total TLC earnings, legal costs, personal salary or net worth, and they do not verify that she lost a specific amount of “millions.” A headline implying a documented fortune disappeared goes beyond what these reports substantiate.

How did she describe returning to ordinary work?
Gosselin expressed a positive view of the work. The Ashley’s Reality Roundup quoted her saying, “I love it. I love normal life.” Us Weekly also reproduced her comment: “It’s okay. I’m helping other families and I feel needed and I enjoy helping.” Parade likewise reported her positive remarks about helping families. These are comments attributed to Gosselin, not an independent assessment of her circumstances.

Us Weekly also cited a ZipRecruiter estimate of $69,385 per year for pediatric home-health nurses in North Carolina, but its article does not state the estimate’s reference year. It is an occupational estimate, not Gosselin’s reported pay, so it cannot be used to infer her personal earnings.
