The album is a major milestone in the story: Netflix Tudum describes Mañana Será Bonito as the first entirely Spanish-language record by a woman to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The documentary connects that achievement to the recording process and the scale of the tour that followed.
What does the film show beyond the stage?
The documentary includes behind-the-scenes material from recording and tour preparation, as well as attention to criticism, perfectionism, and the difficulties of touring. Rather than treating the stadium performances as the whole story, it shows some of the personal and creative effort that goes into bringing them to life.
#1 Best Overall
Director Cristina Costantini told Netflix Tudum that Karol G’s openness was unusual and valuable to the filmmaking: “Being vulnerable in the way she was despite our cameras is a very rare thing and a godsend to a documentary filmmaker.” That vulnerability gives the film a perspective on pressure and persistence as well as career success.
Who appears in the documentary?
Netflix Tudum names Shakira, producer Ovy on the Drums, Becky G, Karol G’s parents, and Feid among the people who appear. Their presence places Karol G’s story in a wider circle of family, collaborators, and fellow artists.
