The statement came from a spokesperson, not from a detailed on-camera interview with Bieber. It also stressed that other people were genuinely harmed and that speculation about Bieber should not divert attention from them.
What Bieber’s representative actually said
A spokesperson for Bieber said: “Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”

The wording establishes the representative’s reported position: Bieber was not a victim of Combs. It does not present a detailed account of Bieber’s private experiences, and it should not be described as a personal interview in which Bieber discussed the allegations.
Why Bieber became part of the conversation
Discussion intensified during Combs’ federal criminal trial after older footage showing Combs with a teenage Bieber resurfaced online. The existence of that footage is authentic archival context, but it does not, by itself, establish abuse or any criminal conduct.

Images or clips that appear suggestive can prompt legitimate questions, yet they cannot substitute for verified testimony, contemporaneous documentation or court findings. The representative’s statement is the public response attributed to Bieber’s camp.
Was the viral Bieber trial video real?
No. AFP Fact Check found that a widely shared video claiming to show Bieber discussing Combs’ trial and saying he would testify had been digitally manipulated from an unrelated 2022 interview.
Rank #2
AFP also reported that Bieber had not released a public video statement about the trial. A clip’s realistic appearance is therefore not evidence that Bieber made the remarks attributed to him.
How to distinguish the claims circulating online
| Material or claim | What is established | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| May 15, 2025 statement | Bieber’s representative said Bieber was not among Combs’ victims and acknowledged that others were genuinely harmed. | It is not a detailed first-person account from Bieber and does not disclose private events beyond that position. |
| Older footage of Combs and teenage Bieber | The footage was recirculated during the trial and shows the people appearing in it. | It does not, on its own, prove abuse, coercion or criminal conduct. |
| Viral video about testifying | AFP Fact Check identified it as a digital manipulation of an unrelated 2022 interview. | It is not evidence that Bieber discussed the case publicly or planned to testify. |
Did Bieber testify or say that Diddy abused him?
The cited public reporting does not show Bieber testifying in Combs’ case or making a verified public statement that Combs abused him. The reported denial came through his representative. That distinction matters: repeating a spokesperson’s statement as though it were a detailed personal testimony changes what the source actually supports.
