You probably did not install Stremio incorrectly. Torrentio is a community add-on rather than an official Stremio add-on, so it may not appear in the normal catalog. You probably did not install Stremio incorrectly. Torrentio is a community add-on, not an official Stremio add-on, so it may not appear when you browse Stremio’s ordinary catalog. Install it from its configuration page instead:
- Sign in to the same Stremio account in your browser and on the device where you use Stremio.
- Open torrentio.strem.fun/configure.
- Choose the configuration options you understand and are legally permitted to use.
- Select Install and approve the request in Stremio.
- If the browser does not open Stremio, copy the configured manifest URL and add it manually from Stremio’s add-on manager.
After installation, return to Stremio and check the add-ons screen. If you are signed in, Stremio is designed to synchronize installed add-ons across supported devices.
Why Torrentio is missing from Stremio
Stremio distinguishes between official add-ons and community add-ons. Official add-ons are normally available through Stremio’s built-in catalog. Community add-ons are developed independently and generally have to be installed manually.

Torrentio is listed as a Stremio community add-on. Its documented manifest endpoint is https://torrentio.strem.fun/manifest.json, while its configuration page lets you select providers and optional integrations before generating an installation link.
That is why reinstalling Stremio, searching the official catalog repeatedly, or switching between devices usually does not solve the problem. The missing step is normally installing the community add-on through its manifest.
Quick installation: use Torrentio’s configuration page
1. Use the same Stremio account
Open Stremio and confirm which account is signed in. Then sign in to that same account in the browser you will use for Torrentio’s configuration page.
This matters because Stremio associates add-on installations with the account. If you configure Torrentio while signed out, or while using a different account, it may not appear on the device you are checking.
2. Open the configuration page
Go directly to https://torrentio.strem.fun/configure. Do not rely solely on a search inside Stremio: community add-ons may not be displayed in the official add-on catalog.
Review the available options carefully. Torrentio’s configuration can involve different torrent providers and optional debrid integrations. Select only services and sources that you understand and are legally authorized to use. More selected providers do not guarantee that a stream will work, load faster, or exist for every title.

3. Select Install
When the configuration is complete, select Install. Your browser should ask to open the link in Stremio or should hand the installation request to the Stremio app. Approve the request, then wait for the add-on installation to finish.
The exact wording and appearance of the prompt can differ between desktop, Android, Android TV, and other supported clients. The important result is that Torrentio appears in Stremio’s installed add-ons, not merely that the configuration page confirms your selections.

Sometimes the browser-to-app handoff fails. This does not necessarily mean Torrentio is unavailable. Stremio supports adding an add-on by copying its manifest URL and pasting it into the client.
- Configure Torrentio at torrentio.strem.fun/configure.
- At the end of the page, copy the generated manifest URL. Use the configured URL rather than automatically substituting the bare manifest address if you selected any options.
- Open Stremio.
- Go to My account, then Add-on manager.
- Select Add addon or the equivalent option in your version of Stremio.
- Paste the manifest URL into the URL field.
- Preview the add-on and choose Install.
Labels can vary by version and platform. Look for the add-on manager’s option to add an add-on from a manifest URL. You should not need to install a modified Stremio APK, a second media player, or a random browser extension to perform this step.
What to check when Torrentio still does not appear
Check that both devices use the same account
Open the account section in Stremio on the target device and compare it with the account used in the browser. A different email address, a guest session, or an account that was never signed in can make a successful installation appear to be missing.
After installing Torrentio on one signed-in client, close and reopen Stremio on the other device or refresh its add-on manager. Synchronization may not be visually immediate.

Check the installed add-ons, not only the catalog
Because Torrentio is a community add-on, searching the official catalog is not a reliable test. Open the section that lists installed or active add-ons. If Torrentio is listed there, the installation succeeded even if it is absent from the official catalog.
Copy the manifest manually
If clicking Install has no effect, use the manual method above. The generated manifest URL contains your chosen configuration. Pasting it into Stremio is an intended installation route, not a sign that you need an unofficial version of the app.
Distinguish “not installed” from “no streams”
These are different problems:

An installed add-on is not a guarantee that every movie or documentary will have a playable result. Availability can change independently of the Stremio installation.
Consider the device platform
Stremio supports desktop, Android, Android TV, and other platforms, but the experience is not identical everywhere. For iPhone and iPad, Stremio recommends its web experience, which has more limited functionality than the full desktop or Android experience. Do not assume that every torrent-based result will play in every Apple client.
If Torrentio is installed but playback is unavailable on an iPhone or iPad, that may be a platform limitation rather than a failed installation. Check the add-on and playback behavior on a supported desktop or Android setup before changing accounts or reinstalling everything.
Check that you are using the genuine endpoint
Be cautious with sites claiming to be an “official Torrentio” replacement or offering a modified Stremio download. Before entering Stremio credentials, debrid credentials, or API keys, verify the domain and manifest. The documented community listing identifies torrentio.strem.fun/manifest.json as the manifest endpoint and links to the torrentio.strem.fun/configure configuration page.

If that endpoint is temporarily unavailable, waiting and checking current Stremio community documentation is safer than downloading a random APK or installing an unofficial clone. A temporarily unavailable service and a missing local installation are separate issues.

Do not enter payment details or account credentials into an unfamiliar mirror merely because Torrentio is not visible in Stremio. Also avoid assuming that a stream is lawful simply because it plays successfully or appears in an add-on.
When to stop troubleshooting
If you have verified the account, installed the generated manifest manually, refreshed the client, and tested more than one title, the remaining problem may be source availability or a temporary issue with the add-on rather than Stremio itself.
At that point:
- Confirm Torrentio is shown in the installed add-ons list.
- Check whether the configuration service and manifest endpoint are reachable.
- Test a title and source you are authorized to access.
- Check current Stremio support or community information for service changes.
- Do not replace the official Stremio client with an unverified build.
The short version is: Torrentio is normally missing because it is a manually installed community add-on.
