Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 did not receive a worldwide Netflix simulcast. Netflix’s reported January 9, 2026 release applied to selected Asian territories, including India and Southeast Asia. Viewers in the United States and many other Western markets were directed to Crunchyroll instead, where the season premiered on January 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT.
What Netflix announced
The Netflix update concerned a regional simulcast, not a global premiere. A simulcast means episodes become available close to their Japanese broadcast or original release schedule. In this case, Netflix’s reported announcement covered selected Asian territories, including India and Southeast Asia, with a January 9, 2026 start date.

The available reporting does not establish a complete country-by-country list. Therefore, a Netflix listing in one Asian market should not be treated as proof that Season 3 is available throughout Asia—or in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, or every other market.
Reports describing the update as disappointing for Western fans reflected the expectation that Netflix’s involvement would mean worldwide access. More precisely, Netflix’s simulcast availability was limited by territory; the evidence does not support saying that Netflix canceled the season or that it was unavailable on Netflix everywhere.

Where can U.S. viewers watch Season 3?
For viewers in the United States and the wider North American region, Crunchyroll was the confirmed streaming platform in the official distribution information. Its published schedule listed the premiere for January 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
Episodes were scheduled weekly on Thursdays after the premiere event, with the regular schedule beginning January 15. Crunchyroll later confirmed that Episodes 48 and 49 were available on the service after launch.

This means the Netflix limitation was a platform and territory issue—not evidence of a production delay. Season 3 began streaming on schedule through Crunchyroll, one day before the reported Netflix release in the selected Asian territories.

Did Netflix delay Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3?
No evidence in the cited announcements indicates a production or release delay. Crunchyroll’s official schedule placed the international premiere on January 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT. Netflix’s reported selected-territory release followed on January 9.
The difference was about where viewers could watch the season, not whether the season had been postponed.

- If it is not listed, check Crunchyroll, which carried the confirmed simulcast in North America and the other territories named in its announcement.
- Verify subtitle and dub availability before subscribing. Language options and release timing can vary by country.
- Do not assume that a listing in another country applies to your own account or location.
Travelers may see a different catalog from the one available at home, and a Netflix page for earlier seasons does not automatically prove that Season 3 is available in the same market.
